As aggressive as they are large, these foes still rely on kick attacks that can be deflected with a well-timed block.
Note, however, that their size prevents normal attacks from knocking them off balance.

The Commander is an Emblem Heartless that is found in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It is one of the bosses at Wonderland.

Design[edit]

A Commander is a humanoid Heartless with dark green skin. It has large hands with yellow claws and wears tattered, brown boots with curled toes. It also wears silver bracelets and yellow knee guards. Its pitch-black head and glowing yellow eyes are visible under its blue-white helmet, which is decorated by a curled antenna and two angular, red spirals. The Heartless emblem is emblazoned on its chest.

The Commander's name is a naval term referring to an officer above a lieutenant commander and below a captain in rank.

Strategy[edit]

The Commander is fought much the same as its lesser counterpart, the Sergeant, although its attacks deal more damage. Although the tight area it is fought in during Mission 57 may make it easier for it to land attacks, its attacks are still easy to react to as long as the camera is kept on it. Blocking its kick attack will knock it over, allowing more damage to be dealt. It is slightly resistant to all types of magic, so physical attacks are recommended instead.
