Aside from a mean punch, the biggest threat from these bullies is their stampede attack. They always lower their visor before trying to ram you. If you can break the horns off those helms, you'll get the rest of the fight "free of charge."

In formation, they're tougher to wrangle. Either break their ranks with a Trinity Guard, or keep your distance and pepper them with magic.

The Satyr is an Emblem Heartless that appears in Kingdom Hearts III.

Story

Kingdom Hearts III

After the sounding of the Olympus Coliseum fanfare, Satyrs appear at the entrance of the Realm of the Gods, shortly after Sora, Donald, and Goofy manage to arrive after besting the Rock Titan. The group attack by charging at Sora, Donald, and Goofy while in formation, but their formation is ultimately broken and are picked off one at a time, clearing the way to the rest of Olympus.

Design

A Satyr is a humanoid, muscular Heartless with grey skin, yellow eyes, and a lightning-shaped beard. It wears black armor with blue highlights and the Heartless insignia on its chestplate, alongside a short skirt and twin gauntlets. Its shoulders have twin pauldrons with yellow spikes and white wings, and its feet are shaped like goat hooves. Its helm has twin horns jutting out of it.

In Greek myth, a satyr is a nature spirit who is half-human, half-goat. Its Japanese name, "Satyros," is its namesake's original Greek name.

Strategy

When first encountered in the Realm of the Gods, Satyrs will appear in a 5x5 formation, causing them to act in unison and gain 50 HP of armor which is shared with all Satyrs in the formation. While in formation, Satyrs are immune to status effects, and will all flinch if one Satyr in the formation flinches. The formation will break when the armor's HP is reduced to zero, upon which all remaining Satyrs will act independently. During this first encounter, Trinity Guard has a 100% chance to appear as a Team Attack.

Lowering a individual Satyr's Reaction Endurance to zero for the first time (when not in formation), or lowering a formation's armor HP to zero, will break its or the entire formation's horns. A Satyr without its horns will stagger to every attack it recieves, much like a lesser enemy without Reaction Endurance would.

The Satyr's Hook, Raging Upper, and Tackle attacks will trigger break Sora's guard and trigger Risk Dodge when blocked.
