Malachite Bolero

Kingdom Hearts III
These blustery baddies dance and whirl on the wind, but can't use magic without stopping to summon their sigil first. That's your cue to blow 'em away.

If you see wind gathering at your feet, move away—fast. Unless you like getting swept up in a tornado, that is.

Nothing freezes them in their tracks quite like Blizzard magic. If you've got the MP to spare, use it to put them on ice!

The Malachite Bolero is an Emblem Heartless that appears in Kingdom Hearts III.

Design

The Malachite Bolero has a smooth, conical body colored turquoise with light-green swirling patterns, and has a Heartless emblem emblazoned on its chest. The top of its body flares outward and forms a jagged "collar" below the Heartless's spherical, pitch black head. It also wears a conical, turquoise hat that has a jagged brim and a thin, curled tip. Like many Heartless, the Malachite Bolero has glowing yellow eyes.

Like other Heartless in its family, the Malachite Bolero's name refers to a color—in this case, malachite—and a musical term—in this case, a Bolero, a type of music that can refer either to Cuban love ballads or Spanish dance music.

Strategy

Kingdom Hearts III

Malachite Boleros are not difficult enemies. Like other Heartless in its family, they have low HP and defenses, and can easily be defeated if Sora is fast enough. Their attacks are telegraphed and can be easily blocked or dodged. If Sora wishes to fight at a distance, Blizzard magic is perfect as it destroys the magic circles and will easily kill a Malachite Bolero in a few hits.
