Lady Tremaine is depicted as a cunning, cruel, snobbish, and, as her nickname describes, wicked person. While showing a lot of affection toward her daughters and her cat Lucifer, she shows only hatefulness towards Cinderella, treating her as no less than an indentured servant. Her cruelty and jealousy ultimately becomes her downfall, as she is presumably blown away along with her daughters by one of the Cursed Coach's bombs.

Story

Kingdom Hearts Union χ

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

Lady Tremaine and her daughters treat Cinderella contemptuously, forcing her step-daughter to serve them as a servant. The wicked stepmother does all in her power to see that her daughters are successful in life, even going as far as to ruin the lives of others. She is upset by their constant sibling rivalry, and displays extreme affection for her devious cat Lucifer.

Lady Tremaine's darkness manifests in the Cursed Coach Unversed.

After discovering the identity of the maiden that had won Prince Charming's heart at the royal ball to be none other than Cinderella, Lady Tremaine immediately locked her in her room when it came time for Anastasia and Drizella to try on a single glass slipper that had been left behind when the girl fled. The slipper does not fit them, and out of nowhere, Aqua appears and offers to try it on. Lady Tremaine asks who Aqua is and what she is doing in her house, and attempts to force the Grand Duke to leave. Cinderella appears, having been let out of her room by Jaq.

Lady Tremaine tries to convince the Duke to leave again, but he insists, saying all unmarried women are his orders. Lady Tremaine trips him so the slipper shatters, but Cinderella has the other slipper. Enraged when the slipper fit her, Lady Tremaine used the extreme jealousy and hatred in her heart to turn Cinderella's pumpkin carriage into an Unversed, the Cursed Coach, in an attempt to eliminate Cinderella and Aqua. Her scheme backfired when one of the fire bombs the Cursed Coach produced landed on her and her daughters.

Personality

Lady Tremaine refusing to let Cinderella have her happily ever after.

Lady Tremaine is depicted as a cunning, cruel, snobbish, and, as her nickname describes, wicked person. While showing a lot of affection toward her daughters and her cat Lucifer, she shows only hatefulness towards Cinderella, treating her as no less than an indentured servant. Her cruelty and jealousy ultimately becomes her downfall, as she is blown away along with her daughters by one of the Cursed Coach's bombs.

Appearance

Lady Tremaine is an older woman with pointed, triangular facial features, including a relatively large, hooked nose with pronounced creases on either side of it. Her eyes are light green, her eyebrows are black and set high on her face, and her hair is grey with a light grey streak in the front. Her hair is worn in a short, heart-shaped style. She also wears eye shadow and dull red lipstick, as well as a blue-green, orb-shaped earring on each ear and a matching ring on her right ring finger.

Lady Tremaine is only seen wearing her formal attire in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. This consists of a pleated, purple dress with short sleeves, a high, violet-pink collar, and frills of the same color at the end of both sleeves.

Origin

Inspired by the wicked stepmother from Charles Perrault's fairy tale Cendrillon, Lady Tremaine debuted as the main antagonist of Disney's classic film Cinderella. Doing all in her power to make Cinderella's life miserable for the good of Anastasia and Drizella's own welfare, the wicked stepmother was often seen pampering her spoiled cat, Lucifer. She prevents Cinderella from attending the ball by assigning her several chores and, when Cinderella procures a dress her animal friends made, has her stepdaughters destroy it. However, at the ball, Lady Tremaine notices a mysterious woman attract Prince Charming's attention.

Back at home, Lady Tremaine realizes that the mysterious woman was, in fact, Cinderella, and locks her up in her room. She uses her conniving and trickery when the Grand Duke came to her estate with a single glass slipper that would announce Prince Charming's wife, having her birth daughters try the delicate footwear and then claiming there was no one else to try it on in the house when it does not fit on either of the girls. However, thanks to Cinderella's many animal friends, her plans fail, and the maiden that was once a servant goes off to the castle to become a princess.
