Design[edit]
Judy is a small, petite bunny with grey fur, dark grey eyebrows, a pink nose, and violet eyes. Her ears are long and thin with pink insides. She wears a sky-blue police uniform and a navy-blue vest with the Zootopia Police Department badge.
Origin[edit]
Judy first appeared as the protagonist of Disney's animated film Zootopia. She is an idealistic bunny who wants to join the Zootopia Police Department to make the world a better place. Though she graduates from the Zootopia Police Academy as the valedictorian of her class, she is placed as a parking enforcement officer. Her first day on the job is disastrous, but she soon accepts a case to find a missing otter named Emmitt Otterton. However, she has to solve the case in 48 hours; otherwise, she resigns from the force.
To solve the case, Judy recruits Nick Wilde, a con artist who had hustled her the previous day, as her lead in tracking down Otterton. The two forge a strong friendship along the way. Though they seemingly solve the case, Judy accidentally lets slip a comment implying predators are reverting to natural instinct during a press conference. Nick leaves Judy, Judy quits the police force, and Zootopia falls into disarray. Months later, following a realization, Judy decides to finish the case for real with Nick. They soon discover that the missing mammals' disappearance was all courtesy of Assistant Mayor Bellwether, who intends on using the chaos to rule Zootopia through fear. Judy and Nick foil Bellwether's scheme and get reinstated into the Zootopia Police Department.
In the film, Judy is voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin as an adult, and by Della Saba as a child.
