Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance[edit]

Prior to Sora's and Riku's arrival in their respective sides of the Symphony of Sorcery, an exhausted Mickey cast magic on the brooms to shirk on his chores and take a nap. However, Mickey awoke to find that the brooms were flooding the room, prompting him to stop with magic while accidentally summoning a Spellican in the process.

Design[edit]

The brooms are besom brooms with brown handles and yellow bristles. They have been animated by magic, and have sprouted thin, brown arms and four-fingered hands as a result. Their bristles are their "legs". The brooms are constantly seen carrying one brown bucket of water in each hand. Each bucket has a silver handle and two silver hoops around them.

Origin[edit]

The brooms debuted in Fantasia, during the segment The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Tired of carrying buckets of water upstairs, Mickey Mouse cast a spell on a broom to make it do his job. As the broom gathered the water, Mickey fell asleep. When he woke up, the room was overflowing with water. Mickey, unsure how to stop it, grabbed an axe and chopped the broom into pieces. However, the broom pieces all turned into more brooms and continued with the job, nearly drowning Mickey as a result. They were finally stopped by Yen Sid, who then became furious with Mickey for not doing his job.
