The Foxfire is a set of Lances that can be wielded by Xaldin in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to the Foxfire+.

Design[edit]

A Foxfire Lance's shaft is silver in the center and black on the ends; the two colors are separated by small, khaki-colored rings. The lower blade is a dark cross-shape similar to the top half of the Nobody symbol. It also sports a blue, curved blade on the lower half of the cross, with short, silver spikes lining it. The upper blade is dark at its base and cyan at the top, and it forks into a "Y" shape. Two large, blue, semi-circular side blades connect to the two points of the main blade, and each one is lined by four silver spikes of varying length.

Foxfire is a type of organic light that is produced by certain mushrooms, and is also another name for a Will O' the Wisp. In Final Fantasy X, Shiranui is a katana for Auron.

Gameplay[edit]

The Foxfire's normal ground combo starts with a sideways slash using one Lance, followed by a downward diagonal slash using the other Lance; the combo ends with a forward thrust of all six at once. The Foxfire's Y combo can be activated after the second attack and consists of Xaldin swinging his Lances from the same starting point upward to two far points in a "V" formation, followed by a leap and a downward diagonal slash using one Lance. The combo then ends with a forward thrust of all six Lances at once in a pointed, star-like shape.

The Foxfire's aerial combo consists of two downward diagonal slashes using one Lance, followed by a forward thrust of all six Lances at once in a pointed, star-like shape.
