Project: Userspace

New Project, to be started at a later date. It's the next half of a major purge to Special:WantedPages, which lists several user items that do not exist. This project is designed to determine which user items can or need to be created, and which ones need to have the links removed.

Userboxes

Arguably, links to non-existing userboxes make up the largest part of Special:WantedPages. What we need to do is determine which userboxes we can create/re-create. For the rest, we'd have to go in and remove the links, maybe notify the users who use them. I personally think the official-related userboxes (worlds, merchandise, etc.) should stay/be re-created. Everything else ought to be removed.

Userpages

Several userpages no longer exist, but are still linked. This part deals with removing links to userpages (Sandboxes, user templates, etc.).

Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, later renamed as Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross], is the ninth installment of the Kingdom Hearts series, released exclusively to the iOS and Android smartphone platforms. It is a sequel to the Japan-exclusive web browser game Kingdom Hearts χ, and features plot and gameplay elements from that title. It is free to play but contains in-app purchases. It is the first Kingdom Hearts game to be released on smartphone platforms.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ was first announced on May 12, 2015. During Square Enix's E3 Conference on June 16, 2015, a trailer for the game was released showcasing gameplay. Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ was released in Japan on September 3, 2015 and in North America on April 7, 2016.

In April 2017, the game was updated and rebranded as Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross], introducing multiplayer gameplay and a theater mode.

Development

While there were rumors of a localization for the web-browser based Kingdom Hearts χ, the smartphone game wasn't publicly referenced until April 14, 2015, in an interview with Tetsuya Nomura. The game was officially revealed on May 12, 2015, with the official title revealed in Famitsu magazine the following day.

Story

After being saved by Ephemer and Skuld following the conclusion of the Keyblade War, Player is brought to another realm, where the Dandelions have assembled as per Ava's instructions. Upon entering this new realm, however, everyone loses all their memories of their previous world, with the exception of the five wielders chosen to become the new Union leaders.

Following Ava's orders, Ephemer ventures to the Keyblade Graveyard as one of the new Union Leaders. Soon, Ephemer is joined by Skuld, the second of the new Union Leaders, much to his surprise. When Skuld questions the whereabouts of other three Union Leaders, Ephemer admitted that, before Skuld showed up, he had his doubts about becoming a Union leader. Ventus, the third Union Leader, arrives and Ephemer and Skuld welcome him. While waiting for the fourth Union leader to appear, Ephemer and Skuld bond with Ventus, who is bewildered as to why he was chosen to become one of the new Union leaders. He admits that he is a little jealous of Ephemer and Skuld's friendship, though they assure him that they consider him a friend as well. Amused by the concept of friends, the fourth Union Leader appears and introduces himself as Brain. When Ephemer confirms that Brain is not the last to arrive as he had anticipated, Brain asks if Ephemer is meant to be their leader. Ephemer denies this, feeling as though they should wait until all of them are together to decide who leads. Brain then asks if the rules Ava provided are meant to be absolute, as he has issue with the concept of lying to the Dandelions, something which Ventus relates to. Thinking about the pain that Player had endured because of the Keyblade War, Ephemer firmly states that they are to follow the rules and that the truth about the previous world must remain a secret so that no one has to remember the tragedy of the Keyblade War. Brain, Ven, and Skuld all accept this, stating that they all believe in Ephemer. Together, the four new Union Leaders await the arrival of their final comrade.

Player resumes his missions, initially reliving through the events leading up to the Keyblade War, and later making use of the newly created Union Cross, joining a party of fellow Dandelions and traveling to new worlds. Soon, Player has a nightmare in which he sees himself collapsed after the events of the Keyblade War. Furthermore, they relive their battle with Aced from just before the fated battle. Upon their defeat at Aced's hand, Player is jolted awake and Chirithy, concerned of the frequency of Player's nightmares, advises them to rest. As Player accepts this and warily returns to sleep, Chirithy bids them goodnight and continues to watch over them.

Prior to the Keyblade War, Strelitzia, another member of the Dandelions, takes note of Player as he waits for Ephemer in the Fountain Square, taking a keen interest in them. After witnessing Player's battle with Aced, Strelitzia is approached by Ava and asked to be one of the new Union leaders following the events of the Keyblade War. Concerned about those who will be left behind during the Keyblade War, Strelitzia remembers that Player is not a Dandelion, and insists that she has to warn Player of the danger that is to come. The next day, while searching for Player in an abandoned house, the two of them are attacked by an unseen assailant, who steals Strelitzia's rule book before leaving. Streltzia holds her Chirithy in her arms, sad that she did not get the chance to see Player, before both she and her Chirithy fade away.

Ephemer, Skuld, Ventus, and Brain grow concerned when the fifth Union leader does not show up and begin searching the Keyblade Graveyard. Soon, Lauriam approaches, apologizing for being so late, as he had been searching for something.

Together at last, the five enter the Foreteller's Chamber in Daybreak Town, where Brain looks through a copy of the Book of Prophecies that he finds. Ultimately, they decide to keep the Unions united under a Union Cross for the time being, while also keeping the absence of the Foretellers a secret. Brain then decides that in order to celebrate, they should make creating new Spirits their first task, sending Ephemer, Skuld, and Ventus to collect the supplies while he and Lauriam prepare to synthesize the materials.

Gameplay

The game is largely a remake of Kingdom Hearts χ, with significant changes to the gameplay to adjust for the change in platform from PC to mobile phone. Cards have been replaced with Medals. These medals are the main basis of attacking and engaging in battles in the game. Each of the approximately thousand medals have different abilities and special attacks that can be used against enemies, and only five medals can be equipped at a time to the Keyblade. By swiping across or tapping on the screen, the player can attack using one of the medals. The medal's special attack is unleashed by swiping up from the lower-left corner of the screen where the medals are. Medals are ranked by rarity, and generally, the rarer the medal, the stronger the medal is.

The story is played out in parts called quests, with each quest having a target enemy to defeat in order to move forward. As the game progresses, additional quests, such as special event quests, material quests, and Coliseum and Union Cross quests, become available to play. Each quest costs as set amount of action points (AP) in order to begin, which takes time to recharge. As one plays the various quests and defeats the Heartless, these drop Lux, which adds to one's total EXP.

Changes from Kingdom Hearts χ

• Cards have been replaced with Medals.
• Players are able to switch genders and Unions at any time.
• Overworlds have been replaced with the Quest system.
• Action Points have been overhauled; they now function as a stamina system that enable the player to enter Quests and start Raids.
• BP has been removed.
• Lux and EXP have been consolidated.
• New Keyblades have been added:

Changes to Kingdom Hearts Union χ [Cross]

On March 23, 2017, the game received an update and was rebranded as Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross]. The story of picks up right after the final missions of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, and serves as a sort of part two to the game. While the gameplay and format remain largely the same, there were significant changes introduced in the update:

• A new logo and artwork.
• The game retains the gameplay found in Unchained χ, and all in-game data will be carried over.
• A multiplayer mode, called Union Cross, is introduced. Players can team up with up to five members of their Party and/or Union and tackle special Quests together.
• Theater Mode has been added, allowing players to view all story cutscenes they've experienced at any time.

This page details the history of the Kingdom Hearts Wiki.

History

The KHWiki logo

The Kingdom Hearts Wiki was founded on April 1^st, 2006 by Riku5464 as part of the Wikia community. Although he was not active for too long, his beginning edits and ideas laid the framework for the newborn database. There weren't many editors or articles in the beginning months of the Wiki’s existence, but eventually a group of users from the Final Fantasy Wiki hopped over and began actively editing the site. The website started off very slowly with only a small group of editors actively working on the site, establishing rules, writing articles, and doing all kinds of things. These editors worked hard and the site’s popularity grew, increasing both the encyclopedia’s content and userbase. These users started editing, each contributing to the Wikia in their own way. And so the Wiki grew, with each year bringing more users and information. The encyclopedia thrived. Like most wikis, it constantly faced issues and disagreements, but the encyclopedia continued to expand on all accounts.

The wiki grew uninhibited for many years, until Wikia began imposing features upon its communities. Although the community on the Kingdom Hearts Wiki repeatedly disabled these features, Wikia continued to implement changes that impacted the quality of the wiki's content. The greatest of these changes came in late 2010, when Wikia introduced a skin that shifted focus from information to advertisements. This became the final straw, and led the wiki to seek private hosting. This resulted in the beginning of The Split. On February 9th, 2011, the wiki moved to the site khwiki.net, sparking the creation of the Square Enix Independent Wiki Alliance. Starting late 2011, discussions began to reorganize both the Kingdom Hearts Wiki and the now-rebranded Wikia site, The Keyhole. The Merge, as it was later referred to, began in early 2012. In February 28, 2014, the wiki moved to site domain was changed to khwiki.com

Both The Split and The Merge tended to divide users on both sites, but eventually, a handful of fresh users began to populate both wikis. These users sought to revive the place and reunite the two communities. In 2014, the Wiki launched MegaProject: Arise, a project aimed at helping organize efforts to increase more users at both the Kingdom Hearts Wiki and The Keyhole. The implementation of MegaProject: Arise saw the launch of the Wiki's magazine, The Twilight Times; the Wiki's podcast, The Round Room Podcast; and the Wiki's Let's Play. The following year, Operation: Keychain was launched, an even more ambitious scheme that aimed at increasing unity between the Kingdom Hearts Wiki and The Keyhole and boost the internet's interest in the franchise in general. As a result, in early 2016, the Kingdom Hearts Wikiverse was created as a community of Kingdom Hearts-related websites.

Since its creation, the Kingdom Hearts Wiki strives to be the most professional and comprehensive Kingdom Hearts resource in the world.

• 1 April: The Kingdom Hearts Wiki is created.
• 30 November: Scottch launches the Wiki's Community Portal as a place to organize the Wiki's expansion, which he takes lead in. The page is the fore-runner to Traverse Town, the Wiki's current Community Portal.

2007

• 30 December: New Staff - Hecko X and Bluerfn are chosen to become Bureaucrats.
• 31 December: New Staff - Azul81677, NeloAngelo, and Hexedmagica are chosen to become Administrators.

2008

• 12 January: The Wiki's Featured Articles project begins and Sora becomes our first Featured Article
• 24 January: The Kingdom Hearts Wiki receives a spotlight on Wikia
• 24 March: New Staff - XienZo becomes the Wiki's first Moderator.
• 21 May: New Staff - BebopKate and XienZo become Administrators. Xienzo becomes the first Moderator to be promoted to Administrator
• July 2008: The Wiki's Featured Media project begins, and File:Kingdom Key KH.png becomes the first Featured Media file.

2009

• 9 February: The Wiki reaches 1,000 articles.

• 12 May: The Wiki receives its first affiliate, HeartStation.org
• 5 June: The 100,000 edit on the Wiki is made by Ultima the High Seraph on the Roxas page

• 10 July: The Wiki launches its Internet Relay Chat (IRC) Channel on #Wikia-kingdomhearts

• 23 September: Several members release a tribute video to Wayne Alwine, voice actor for Mickey Mouse, who had passed away the September prior.
• 28 October: After being used for over a year as a central wiki organizing page, the Wiki's Community Portal Traverse Town is remodeled into Districts and organized into the role it serves today as a directory to important pages on the Wiki.
• 19 November: Naminé's Drawoff, the Wiki's first End-of-Year Event, is launched.

2011

• 9 February: The Kingdom Hearts Wiki moves to khwiki.net
• 21 February: New Staff - As a result of the move, new staff were elected. Porplemontage, who helped move the site, became the site's developer, and Neumannz and KrytenKoro became the new Bureaucrats. NinjaSheik, DoorToNothing, ShardofTruth, Xion4ever, Maggosh, EternalNothingnessXIII, Urutapu, Ultima the High Seraph, and Troisnyxetiene became the first Administrators. Erry, LapisScarab, LevL, and SilverCrono became Moderators on the new, independent Wiki. BebopKate was added as an Administrator several days later.
• 5 September: New Staff - To help with the continuing migration onto the new site, Erry, The Inexistent, and Sepharus become Artists.

2012

	The Master of Masters gives Ava a list of the five leaders of the Union Cross, with one name marked in red for the one that is to get the copy of the Book of Prophecies
			Ava tells Ephemer about the Union Cross and the leaders, and he sets off to the sleeping world.
555	Gula hides in District 7	After fighting Ava, impersonating a different foreteller, the Player is invited to join the Dandelions and learns that Ephemer has joined. The Player refuses. Ava is then shown instructing the Dandelions not to participate in the Keyblade War and informing them that the day's training would be special because it would be in the Realm of Sleep
		A few months later, the Player is found in the Badlands.*	The Player visits the Castle of Dreams and Enchanted Dominion.*
		???	There's a shadowy effect in the scenes before fighting Aced
		Fight against Aced. Ira appears and stops the fight.	Fight against Aced. Ira doesn't appear in KHUX to stop the fight.
		Player faints from the fight and rests in his room, where Skuld and Chirithy appear and mention that Ava has gone missing.	The Player awakens in his room and wonders if he saw a dream.
666-670			Strelitzia is introduced and is seen being given a book for the Union Cross. She seeks to help the Player join the Dandelions and is struck down mysteriously.
		The Player awakens and meets with Gula in District 7. He explains the Lost Page to the Player while Ava speaks to Luxu. Luxu reveals to Ava the identity of the traitor, and they fight, causing the bell of the tower to ring and signifying the start of the Keyblade War.
		The Player faces the Nightmare Chirithy again.
	The Keyblade War
		Ephemer and Skuld take the Player with them. The Player awakens in Enchanted Dominion.
		BEGIN UNION CROSS; Skuld and Ephemer appear in the Keyblade Graveyard.
Quest 670			Chirithy, Ephemer, and Skuld discuss the Union Cross and the Player's dreams.

*There appears to be a contradiction where, after the cutscene where the Player chooses not to join the Dandelions, the game shows the end of the war, claiming it occurred a few months later. The game then goes back "a few days ago" and shows the fight with Aced from Kingdom Hearts χ. The scene then says "a few months later" again, with the war then starting, followed by another flashback to "a few days ago", showing the conversation between Luxu and Ava. Thus, there's a contradiction on whether the time between Luxu and Ava's conversation was a few days, or a few months, with the game claiming a few months from the conversation to the war, but only a few days from the war in reverse to the conversation.
