Being reprogrammed by CLU to serve as his minions, the guards have little personality of their own other than following his orders. However, in the film, they have shown to act like normal programs when not on duty, since several non-hostile guards can be seen in the ''End of Line'' club.

Template:Enemy The Black Guards are computer programs that appear in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, based on characters from the Disney film Tron: Legacy. Story

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

Sora encounters four Black Guards after chasing a Recognizer. They demand his ID, but Sora does not understand what they meant by ID and introduces himself. However, Sora's name is not recognized and he is mistaken for a stray program. The guards then grab him and pull him to the Recognizer, but Sora breaks free and escapes.

Some Black Guards later find Riku and, mistaking him for a stray program, attempt to force him onto a Recognizer, but he brushes them off and boards willingly. They later race Riku in a Light Cycle race, but are easily defeated.

Appearance

The Black Guards wear black, skintight suits lined with circuitry, and uniform, featureless helmets. The orange hue of their circuits indicates that they serve CLU. They are also equipped with electronic staves, and their backpacks can sprout sail-like wings to allow flight.

Origin

The Black Guards debuted in Tron: Legacy. Like Tron, they were all reprogrammed to serve as CLU's army and henchmen, but they can act like normal programs when not on duty, as several guards are seen relaxing in the End of Line club. Many appeared on the Rectifier during CLU's speach about invading the userworld to perfect it. Flynn managed to reprogram one (by tampering with his Identity Disk, then hitting him in the head) to allow him to steal a Fighter Jet. It's unknown what happened to the Black Guards following the destruction of the Portal and CLU.
