In battle, the Lava Titan fights alongside the [[Ice Titan]] and the [[Tornado Titan]], although the latter cannot be attacked during this battle. Instead, it occasionally blows Sora's party away from the titans, during which the Lava and Ice Titans shoot powerful beams at Sora. Once up close, the Lava Titan attacks by swinging one of its arms around and sending lots of fireballs raining down. This can be avoided more easily by going down the opposite side of the mound. It can also bump its head right on top of the mountain. When it is glowing red, it is immune to attacks. Because of the Ice Titan bearing more accuracy in its attacks, it is better to deal with the Lava Titan last. The strategy to defeat the titan is fairly easy; alternate between powerful combo strings, and the water magic to deplete its health quickly, and take defensive actions once it sends its fireballs raining down on the battle field. | In battle, the Lava Titan fights alongside the [[Ice Titan]] and the [[Tornado Titan]], although the latter cannot be attacked during this battle. The Lava Titan is a boss in Kingdom Hearts III.
Story[edit]
Kingdom Hearts III[edit]
The planets have aligned over Olympus, and with it, Hades sets into motion his master plan: releasing the four Titans - the Lava Titan being one of them - onto Olympus. After they wreak havoc in Olympus and leave it in ruins, Hades brings the Lava Titan, the Ice Titan and the Tornado Titan into the Realm of the Gods atop Mount Olympus. The Lava and Ice Titans enclose Zeus in a cooled lava cone of their own making, while Hades smugly watches from Zeus's throne, saying that he now calls the shots.
Before Hades can do much more, however, he is confronted by Sora, Donald, Goofy and Hercules, who fight both the Lava and Ice Titans together. After the two of them are subdued, they confront the Tornado Titan, who uses the powers of the defeated Lava and Ice Titans.
Finally, when all the Titans are defeated and Hercules frees Zeus from his prison, the Lava Titan, along with the other Titans, is scooped up into the Tornado Titan by Hercules's hands, and then released into space, where they are destroyed for good in an explosion.
Other appearances[edit]
Kingdom Hearts[edit]
The Lava Titan makes a cameo appearance in the manga adaptation of Kingdom Hearts, at Olympus Coliseum alongside the Rock Titan, Ice Titan, Tornado Titan, and Hades.
Design[edit]
The Lava Titan is made out of lava, his thick form shifting, and recasting with ease. His arms and lower body are liquefied, drooping and glowing red, while his upper body and head are covered in a magma-like substance, lava visible through the cracked lining. At the very bottom of his body, the lava is solidifying. When performing an attack of any sort, his entire body lights up in a red hue, matching his glowing eyes and mouth respectively.
Strategy[edit]

Origin[edit]
The Lava Titan first appears in Disney's 1997 animated feature, Hercules, voiced by Jim Cummings. Known in Disney canon as "Pyros," he wreaks havoc eons before the events of the film, along with his fellow Titans. The Titans' rampage is stopped by Zeus, however, and they are all imprisoned in a cage of lightning deep beneath the sea. Eighteen years after the birth of Hercules, Hades, the Lord of the Dead, steals the young hero's godly strength and uses his power to unleash Lythos and the other Titans. Hades, playing off of the Titans' lust for vengeance against Zeus, then proceeds to use the gigantic creatures to take over Mount Olympus, as it was foretold to him long ago in a prophecy made by the three Fates.
