The Nightcloud is a set of Lances that can be wielded by Xaldin in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to the Nightcloud+.

Design[edit]

A Nightcloud lance's shaft is silver in the center and purple on the ends, with the colors separated by small, khaki-colored rings. The lower blade forks into two points, with each point sporting a small, slightly curved, rectangular blade. These rectangular blades are violet, and the points of the main blade are purple. The upper blade is semi-circular, violet and sports three silver spikes lining it. The middle spike is very long, while the two side spikes are quite short. There are also two circular cuts taken out of the center of the blade.

The name "Nightcloud" references Xaldin's closeness to the darkness, hence "night", and his manipulation of wind, hence "cloud".

Gameplay[edit]

Nightcloud's normal ground combo starts with a sideways slash using one lance, followed by a downward diagonal slash using the other lance, and ends with a thrust of all six lances forwards at once. The Y combo can be activated after the second attack, and consists of Xaldin swinging his lances from the same starting point upward to two far points in a "V" formation, followed by a leap and a downward diagonal slash with one lance. The combo then ends with a thrust of all six lances forwards at once in a pointed, star-like shape.

The aerial combo consists of a downward diagonal slash using one lance, followed by a thrust of all six lances forwards at once in a pointed, star-like shape.
