Disney Castle is a world from Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II.
Disney Castle first appeared during the beginning segment of Kingdom Hearts. However, it remained unplayable, although it was visible on the Gummi Map screen to the left of Traverse Town. It is the home of King Mickey, Queen Minnie, and the other characters created by Walt Disney. Disney Castle, as such, is Vault Disney's world (although the name better fits the Timeless River). Vault Disney is the collection of Walt Disney's cartoons, minus the animated movies.
In Kingdom Hearts II, Disney Castle played a more active role. In a climatic event, the barrier protecting Disney Castle, the Cornerstone of Light, was destroyed by Maleficent and the world was invaded by the Heartless. Namely, millions of Minute Bombs and Bolt Towers. This brought Disney Castle's attention to Sora and his friends, who rescued the castle with the help of Queen Minnie and the Timeless River.
Trivia
- Disney Castle's building site was once the location where Steamboat Willy took place
- Disney Castle's theme music is the Mickey Mouse Club March.
- Unlike other worlds, Disney Castle's battle music is the same as the boss music in Beast's Castle. (called the Dance of Death by the soundtrack.)
- Disney Castle's architecture is obviously based off Sleeping Beauty's Castle in Disneyland and Cinderella's Castle in Walt Disney World.
