Tutorials, sometimes known as Game Help, are pieces of information that teaches players how to play the game. They are usually displayed through large text boxes that interrupt the game when the tutorial is triggered. In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, triggered tutorials are recorded and kept in a menu so that the player can look back and read old tutorials at any time.
Although tutorials are present in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, each tutorial only appears once in as they are not recorded and saved.

After a tutorial is triggered, they are recorded and kept in a "Tutorials" menu that is found in the main menu, allowing the player to view the tutorials at any time as long as they are outside of battle. Unlocked tutorials that have not yet been viewed in the menu are marked with "new" tags. To remove them, the tutorial does not have to be selected and viewed in depth; simply scrolling past it in the menu takes away the tag. Long entries are split into multiple pages.
In the menu, tutorials have two forms of organization. Firstly, tutorials are grouped into sections. Secondly, each tutorial is denoted with either a star or a dash. Starred tutorials are "header" tutorials and any dashed tutorials under it are essentially sub-sections of the header tutorial.
At most times, tutorials are triggered by reaching a certain milestone of the story or entering a yet-to-be explained menu, such as the Command Matrix. Sometimes, however, certain items must be picked up to trigger a tutorial, as is the case with shred of wisdoms.
