"Kairi" is a musical composition by Yoko Shimomura that was first used in Kingdom Hearts. The piece has three different variations in Kingdom Hearts, titled "Kairi I," "Kairi II," and "Kairi III."

"Kairi" returns as the main theme for Kairi. However, in this version, the theme stands alone.

  • "Kairi" appears in the Piano Collections Kingdom Hearts album. It is the second movement in "Sonata on Themes of Kingdom Hearts," along with tracks 5, 7, and 8.

Composition

"Kairi I" is approximately one minute and nineteen seconds long. It has a time signature of 4/4 time, and a tempo of 67 beats per minute. The piece is written in the key of Eb [E flat] Major. It does not have an introduction or conclusion, allowing for smooth transitions between loops. Each loop is six measures long, with each repetition introducing a new instrument. The instrumentation consists of: acoustic guitar, flute, female choir ah's, piano, and synthesizer.
