"The Force in You" is a musical composition by Yoko Shimomura that is used in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. The piece also occurs in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, renamed as "Extreme Encounters".

Appearances

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

"Extreme Encounters" is a boss theme during the Cursed Coach and Zack battles.

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories

"The Force in You" is a boss theme associated with the Riku Replica, as it only plays during battles against him. The piece is played during all Riku Replica battles, including those that take place in Castle Oblivion, and those that take place in Twilight Town.

Composition

"The Force in You" is approximately two minutes and twelve seconds long and plays at a tempo of 80 beats per minute for the introduction and 172 beats per minutes for the remainder of the piece. The introduction has a time signature of 4/4 time, while the remainder of the piece is in 5/4 time. "The Force in You" has a short introduction, but leads into the repeated melodic section, allowing for smooth transitions between loops. The instrumentation consists of strings, an organ, female vocals[KH Re:CoM], timpani, snare drum, and piano.

Although the track title may be different, much of "Extreme Encounters" resembles the faster section of "The Force in You." Lacking an introduction, the repeated melodic section allows for smooth transitions between loops.
