CompositionEdit
"Another Side" is two minutes and 42 seconds in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and two minutes and 40 seconds in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, while "Another Side -Battle Ver.- is three minutes and two seconds in both Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. "Another Side -Battle Ver.-" is able to loop smoothly, while the original "Another Side" has a clearly defined beginning and end. In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, the ending of "Another Side" is cross-faded to be used as a battle track, leaving a noticeable loop point.
"Another Side" consists of two main sections. It begins with a slow melody dominated by piano; this section stands on its own as "Organization XIII", and the motifs introduced appear in many tracks related to Organization XIII and its members. The second half of "Another Side" is considerably faster, with a percussive beat and quick flute ornaments to push the piece forward.
"Another Side -Battle Ver.-" speeds up the transition into the second section of the piece, occurring after only about twenty secconds of the original piano melody. The arrangement changes the percussion section.
