"Sacred Moon" is approximately one minute and six seconds long and plays at a tempo of 108 beats per minute. It has a time signature of 3/4 and is written primarily in the C Phrygian mode. Like many field themes, "Sacred Moon" lacks an introduction and conclusion, allowing for smooth transitions between 100 measure loops. The instrumentation consists of harp, female vocals, shakers, double bass, bongos, drumset, and piano. It is stylistically similar to "Mystic Moon", the only differences being variations in instrumentation and tempo.
