Jessie is a plastic cowgirl doll. She has green eyes, braided red hair and a yellow ribbon that has tied to the bottom of her ponytail, pink lips, rosy cheeks, and auburn eyebrows. She wears a small nose white long-sleeved western-style shirt with both yellow blouse and cuffs that have red doodles, blue jeans, a brown belt with a buckle made from gold plastic, white chaps with cow spots all over, cowgirl boots made from brown plastic, a crimson cowgirl hat, and a pull string on her back with a white loop attached to it.
Origin[edit]
Jessie debuted in the Pixar 1999 animated film, Toy Story 2, voiced by Joan Cusack, and has also appeared in Toy Story 3, Toy Story 4, and other Toy Story media. She is presented as a cowgirl doll based on the character of the same name from the fictional television show Woody's Roundup. She used to belong to a girl named Emily, until Emily grew up and left Jessie at a yard sale. Jessie was collected by toy collector Al McWhiggin for a Woody's Roundup collection in Japan.
During the events of the film, Jessie encounters Woody, who was also collected by Al. Though excited to meet him, Jessie soon mocks Woody when he states that he wants to return to his owner Andy. As time passes, Jessie and Woody bond, with Jessie telling the story of how she was abandoned by her owner Emily. When Woody's fellow toys come to rescue him, he offers to take Jessie and the other Woody's Roundup toys back home to Andy. Fellow toy Stinky Pete intends on taking the group to Japan, imprisoning Jessie, but Woody ultimately rescues her and takes her to Andy.
