Composition
"Struggle Away" is approximately two minutes and fifteen seconds long and plays at a tempo of 180 beats per minute. It has a time signature of 3/4 and is written in the key of D♭ major, or B♭ minor. "Struggle Away" has an introduction that smoothly leads into the main melody and repeated section, allowing for smooth transitions between loops. Each loop is 51 measures long. The instrumentation consists of a violin, staccato strings, a church organ, a timpani, synth brass, and a Drumkit, including a snare drum, cymbals, stick clicks, and castanets. The composition of the piece bears many similarities to "The Fight for my Friends."
