I haven't quite got the fine points down, like...when, or where... It just kinda kicks in whenever it wants to.

The Grid is a world slated to appear in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Like Space Paranoids, it is based on the Tron series, but will follow the plotline of the sequel, Tron: Legacy. The Grid is apparently one of the seven worlds submerged in sleep that must be awakened by Sora and Riku.

Locations

From the game's recent trailers, it has been revealed that several areas based on the film will be playable, such as the Light Cycle arena and CLU 2's quarters.

While the role the world will play in the storyline is unknown, it is known that The Grid is a different world entirely to Space Paranoids, as stated in both the film and magazine scans promoting the game. Screenshots and videos have surfaced with Sora and Riku interacting with Kevin Flynn, Sam Flynn, Quorra, CLU 2 and Rinzler. It is also known that Rinzler will serve as a boss. In one scene, Sora calls out to Rinzler to remember his identity as Tron, but to no avail. It is also hinted that CLU 2 desires the Keyblade, as he is shown offering to turn Rinzler over to Sora in return for the weapon. Sora is also seen confronting the Unknown and Xemnas in the world.
