Personality

Origin

Although Heffalumps appeared in the original Winnie the Pooh books, Lumpy (real name Heffridge Trumpler Brompet Heffalump IV) first appeared in the 2005 film Pooh's Heffalump Movie, voiced by Kyle Stanger, whose younger sister would go on to voice him in Kingdom Hearts III.

In the film, Heffalump noises are heard throughout the 100 Acre Wood, prompting Rabbit to gather the residents of the Wood to hunt them down. When Roo is counted out of the group because of his young age, he resolves to go out on his own to capture the Heffalump. He does succeed in finding Lumpy in Heffalump Hollow, but learns that he is actually friendly, playful, and nowhere near as threatening or monstrous as Roo and his friends thought Heffalumps to be. Wanting to introduce Lumpy to the rest of his friends, the two return to the 100 Acre Wood and have fun together, but the resulting mess only leads Rabbit and company to set up traps to capture the Heffalump. The two groups later convene in hostility, and Lumpy runs away, believing that Roo lied to him, and gets caught in one of the traps. After freeing him from the trap and regaining his trust, Roo attempts to clear Lumpy's name when he falls into a pile of logs and gets trapped. Lumpy calls for his mother, who arrives to free Roo, and the residents of the 100 Acre Wood reconcile with the Heffalumps.
