Rapunzel
I haven't quite got the fine points down, like...when, or where... It just kinda kicks in whenever it wants to.

Origin
Rapunzel first appeared in the Disney animated film Tangled in 2010, voiced by Mandy Moore, who also voiced Aerith in Kingdom Hearts.
In Tangled, Rapunzel is the lost princess of Corona who was kidnapped from her parents Queen Arianna and King Frederic by a greedy woman named Mother Gothel due to Gothel wanting to use the magical powers of Rapunzel's hair to live as long as possible. Rapunzel has been imprisoned by Gothel for eighteen years in a secluded tower, and has developed a strong desire to explore the outside world, but Gothel tries to end this desire by saying it is a cruel and dangerous place. On her eighteenth birthday, Rapunzel ends up being rescued by a young man named Flynn Rider. Along with her pet chameleon Pascal, they go on a journey to find the source of the lanterns which appear on Rapunzel's birthday each year.
Rapunzel's life is also the focus of Tangled: The Series, which explores Rapunzel's relationship with society and her parents while adjusting to her new lifestyle as a princess.
Rapunzel is inspired by the protagonist of the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale.
