Kingdom of Corona[1] is the working name of a world set to appear in Kingdom Hearts III. It is based on the Disney film Tangled.

Development

During Square Enix's E3 Conference on June 16, 2015, Sora was shown exploring areas of Kingdom of Corona.[2] During the Square Enix Presents segment of E3 2015, Kingdom Hearts III director Tetsuya Nomura revealed that the Kingdom of Corona was one of the first worlds to be considered for Kingdom Hearts III.[3]

During the D23 Japan Expo 2018 convention, Tetsuya Nomura revealed that despite being one of the first world's announced in the game, the reason ot did not received any gameplay footage was the process of Rapunzel's hair joking that this is "the most persistent hair in a game yet."[4] It was also revealed that Rapunzel's hair has been programmed to react accordingly to the terrain in the world.<ref'IGN Japan: 11 new pieces of information about KINGDOM HEARTS 3</ref>[5]

Settings and Areas

The E3 2015 trailer for Kingdom Hearts III shows that Sora will be able to battle in the area outside Rapunzel's Tower.

In The D23 Japan 2018 trailer, areas from the film include the Forest and outside the town of Corona surrounding the Castle.[6]
