Origin
Mrs. Incredible, better known as Helen Parr and her own superhero name Elastigirl, first appeared in Disney and Pixar's 2005 animated feature The Incredibles, as well as its 2018 sequel, voiced by Holly Hunter. She is the wife of Bob Parr and mother to Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack.
In the first film, after superheroes are banned following lawsuits involving property damage, Helen marries Bob and has three children together. However, Bob slips away from the family to relive his glory days as Mr. Incredible, leading Helen to follow him and eventually help him stop the supervillain Syndrome.
Because she shares her "Elastigirl" alias with the DC Comics superhero Rita Farr, Helen is referred to as "Mrs. Incredible" in merchandise to avoid copyright; the "Mrs. Incredible" moniker is only used once in the film itself.
