The Ryu Dragon's design is based on a European dragon.
Etymology
The Ryu Dragon's name is derived from the word "ryū," which means "dragon" in Japanese. Its dispositions are named after dragon-like enemies from the Final Fantasy series.
Strategy
Ryu Dragon as one of the late-game Dream Eaters tends to be one of the stronger ones, being able to inflict heavy damage with slicing attacks that dash past its targets and is able to breathe fire from the sky mid-flight. It can also fire flame projectiles in the form of a cross-slash and even use Time Bomb. The Rare Nightmare versions are considerably stronger than the normal Nightmare versions.

The Ryu Dragon Recipe is found in a chest at the Golden Wood. The Ryu Dragon can be created through five different recipes.
- The first recipe is a rank E recipe.
- 3 Lofty Fancy + 2 Brilliant Fantasy
- The second recipe is a rank E recipe that has a 20% chance of transforming from Pegaslick.
- The third recipe is a rank D recipe.
- The fourth recipe is a rank C recipe.
- The fifth recipe is a rank B recipe that has an 80% chance of success.
