The Black Guards are the upgraded versions of the original guard programs.They often operate in teams of four. They appear in the Disney film, Tron: Legacy, and will appear in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, in The Grid.
Development
In the Jump Festa 2012 trailer, Riku fights a Black Guard while on a Light Cycle. Another scene shows him captured by several of them.

- The Black Guards are among only four types of enemies outside the main enemy creatures of the games, with the others being the Card Soldiers of Wonderland, the Undead Pirates of Port Royal, and Maleficent's goons of Enchanted Dominion.
