A Serenity Crystal, the rarest of the Serenity materials

Serenity (満たされる Mitasareru?), also dubbed as "Mystery" in Kingdom Hearts, is a material type available in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. Serenity materials contain a mysterious crystalline substance, and are colored gold. In Kingdom Hearts they are used as normal synthesis items, while in Kingdom Hearts II they are "modifier" materials that can be added to a recipe of the same rank to upgrade it to a more powerful form, and are usable once the Moogle reaches level 3, Junior Moogle.

Drops

Kingdom Hearts

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix introduced the Mystery Power (満たされるチカラ Mitasareru Chikara?, lit. "Serenity Power"), dropped only by the Pink Agaricus (10%/20%/100%).[4]

Kingdom Hearts II

In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Serenity Shards are also dropped by the Iron Hammer and Silent Launcher, Serenity Stones are also dropped by the Aerial Champ and Air Viking, Serenity Gems are also dropped by the Mad Bumper and Reckless, and Serenity Crystals are only dropped by the Bulky Vendor (100%)[5], but can be synthesized in Free Development.
