Origin[edit]

Nicholas Piberius Wilde originated from the Disney film Zootopia, voiced by Jason Bateman. A con artist who sells popsicles made from jumbo pops and makes profits from selling the sticks as lumber, Nick was once a naïve fox who wanted to be a boy scout prior to the film's events. When he tried to join, he was bullied by prey boy scouts, deciding to become a con artist out of cynicism.

In the film, when he first meets Judy Hopps, he tricks her into aiding him in his scam, and when she confronts him on the matter, he deduces her beliefs of Zootopia and proceeds to break her heart. The next day, Nick is confronted by Judy, who ropes him into helping her track down Emmitt Otterton. The two become close to one another during the investigation. After seemingly solving the case, Nick accepts Judy's offer to become her partner, but when she accidentally implies that predators are reverting back to natural instinct at a press conference, he leaves her. Judy eventually realizes the truth about the missing mammals and recruits Nick to help her. The duo find out that the entire disappearance was orchestrated by Assistant Mayor Bellwether. After helping Judy foil Bellwether's scheme, Nick joins the Zootopia Police Department as her partner.
