Composition[edit]
"Critical Crossroad" builds off of the themes introduced in "Replicas", and the two tracks together form the base of "Dark Domination". "Critical Crossroad" heavily features the melody of "Rage Awakened".
Like many of Ishimoto's compositions, "Critical Crossroad" was altered between the in-game version and the original soundtrack album. The album version changes the balance of the song, most notably bringing out the main violin and reducing the bass choir. The in-game version does not loop properly; the album mix attempted to remedy this by including the eight-measure introduction in the loop.
