The Pegasus Cup is the second tournament at Olympus Coliseum in Kingdom Hearts. Upon completion, Phil puts up the trophy in the Lobby. In Kingdom Hearts II, the Pegasus Cup trophy was accidentally mislabeled as the Phil Cup trophy, and vice versa.

Strategy[edit]

Leon & Yuffie

When the battle begins, focus on Yuffie first as she has less health than Leon and her defeat means that she cannot heal him. However, try to keep an eye on him because he can still attack while Sora is occupied with Yuffie.

Yuffie tends to throw her shuriken towards Sora. Use Guard to send them back at her to stun her, then pound her with combos and special abilities. Try repeatedly assailing her, as that means she has barely any chance of healing herself. At low health, Yuffie can generate a massive shuriken. Stay away from her when she does that, and use Guard to send it back before repeating the strategy until she falls.

Once Yuffie is defeated, Sora can focus on fighting Leon. His moves are mostly identical from his first bout with Sora in Traverse Town, but remember that Sora has more abilities than last time. Guard his attacks and strike back with any abilities. When his health hits the green bar, he charges up his Gunblade and infuses it with energy, increasing its range. He has a jumping attack that has massive range, but it can still be guarded or dodged. Leon has a couple seconds to yank his Gunblade out, so take the chance to retaliate. Eventually, Leon will fall, and Sora will claim the Pegasus Cup.

-Difficulty: Medium ishy
-Overview: Harder for sword choosers than shield choosers. Yuffie will throw a small homing shuriken every few seconds and leon will continually persue with hard hitting slow attacks and fireballs. Every low hp mark, Yuffie will throw an oversized shuriken around targeting people randomly. While Leon will get his gunsword charged up and will knock off 80% of your hp at level 35 should you be careless enough to let him swing for you
-Set-Up: Set donald to never use offensive magic, or advance magic. Frequently attack normally and use support spells. Set goofy to not have any abilities that consume MP apart from his MP restoring spell, make that and attacking his main priority. You should have High jump and dodge roll and scan, any others are just helpfull. Long range keyblade is recommended.
-Tactic: At the start, roll towards them to get "agro" then roll around the arena so you can see what thier attacks and stances look like. Donald and goofy will only be usefull for restoring your MP and HP when you get low on either if you set them up properly. The plan is to take out Yuffie first, as leon's attacks are easily avoidable, she can heal and she dose the most damage. Run around the edge of the arena and deflect her small shurikens back at her, notice she becomes stunned for a short period. If you try to approach her she will summersault away from you, so the key is to corner her. Run around and deflect her skurikens and when she runs into a corner randomly, go toward her, deflect a skuriken, cast Aero on yourself (TRUST ME SRSLY) and start mashing X in her face. At half HP she will attempt to heal every second she can, so you need to stay on her and keep a LOT of pressure on. However Leon's attacks are hard hitting, and he will come for you, but just turn your camera so you can see what he's up to and you can easily avoid his attacks while pounding Yuffie. When she throws that super shuriken you really need to move from that, high jump and combat roll are essential.

-When shes down then dribble a bit at the 300 xp and Leon is easy as hell. But when he charges his sword at about 25% hp I really do mean this, he knocks off 75% of your hp on Expert with AREO ON! But his attacks are easy enough to avoid.
