Defense Boost, also called Defense Up, is an item introduced in Kingdom Hearts. Defense Boosts will permanently increase a character's Defense stat by one. This item can only be used from the items menu after it is obtained.

• Defense Up: Mail the ninth Postcard^{[KH I]}, mail the tenth Postcard^{[KH I FM]}, win the Pegasus Cup time trial^{[KH I]}, collect 10 fruits on the Panic Fall course, give the second Rare Nut to Owl.
