The Sanction is a pair of Ethereal Blades that can be wielded by Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to the Sanction+.

Design

Sanction has a shape that resembles a blunt, curved lightning bolt. Impacts with targets are marked by sparks and horizontal lines of blue light.

To "sanction" means to deal a penalty that acts to ensure compliance or conformity.

Gameplay

Sanction and Sanction+'s ground combos consist of Xemnas slashing from left to right with his right hand, executing a 360° spinning slash, and firing three Sanction blades before him in a spread pattern. The final attack has knockback.

The aerial combos consist of a spinning slash, a double-spin slash, and a downward spinning slash with knockback.
