Link Portals are portals that can be found in most worlds. They often give out challenges to Sora or Riku, or a Dream Eater party. Many portals contain the name of a character, often from a Final Fantasy game (eg: Cloud).

Certain link portals give out often harder challenges and Dream Eaters to fight. They are known as the Special Portals. Each world contains six Special Portals. After completing the game, the Secret Portals are unlocked. These portals contain the bosses of the world they are in.
