Story
Kingdom Hearts II
Sometime after Xemnas's defeat, Rafiki holds Kiara up on Pride Rock, to show her to the entire animal kingdom. Simba and Nala are present at the event.
Appearance
Kiara is a lion cub with orange fur. Her fur is significantly brighter on her paws, underbelly, mouth, around her eyes and inside of her ears, which is outlined in brown. The tip of her tail is black and her fur has a tiny ruffle on her head. She has yellow eyes with black pupils and arched, brown eyebrows.
Origin
Kiara originates from The Lion King and its sequel The Lion King II. At the end of the first film, Kiara was born and presented by Rafiki to the kingdom as her parents, Simba and Nala, watched on proudly. In the second film, Kiara serves as the main female protagonist. Throughout the film, Kiara's adventurous and independent nature causes a strain in her relationship with her overprotective father. Venturing to the forbidden Outlands, Kiara meets Kovu, an Outsider and Scar's chosen heir. The two eventually become friends, much to the disapproval of Simba and Zira, Kovu's mother. Forbidding the two from meeting again, Simba lectures Kiara on how a future queen should act. Kiara expresses her reluctance to the title, but Simba tells her that that they are one and someday she will understand.
Years later, an adult Kiara prepares for her first hunt. After discovering Simba's broken vow of permitting her to hunt alone, Kiara dashes away in a fit of rage, becoming trapped in a wildfire by Zira's other two children, Vitani and Nuka. Kiara is then saved by an adult Kovu; the reunion cut short by her parents's arrival. Kovu asks to join Simba's pride, only to be refused until Rafiki reveals Kovu's previous heroic deed. In exchange for the debt, Simba agrees to a trial basis to test Kovu's loyalty, allowing Kovu and Kiara to develop a deep relationship. Although their relationship is challenged a few times, the two overcome their struggles, coming together to unite their clans. The two return to the Pride Lands to break a fight between Simba and Zira, convincing the two groups that they are one and the same. With the demise of Zira, the fighting ceases, and Simba permits the Outsiders to return to Pride Rock. At the end of the film, Rafiki blesses Kovu and Kiara's union. Kiara is last seen roaring across the lands with Simba, Nala, and Kovu.
