Template:Enemy The Meow Wow is a Dream Eater that appears in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

Design

Meow Wows are plump Dream Eaters that resemble a cross between a cat and a dog. Spirit Meow Wows have white lower bodies and muzzles. The top half of their bodies are blue in color, and their blue ears possess black tips. Spirit Meow Wows' rear ends are black, and their stubby black tails have a pink tip. Their legs are black at the bottom with a pink band wrapping around the middle, and a short pink tongue hangs loosely out of their mouths. They have a small purple nose in the shape of an upside-down triangle, and they sport a short pink horn on their forehead. Three yellow spots decorate their sides, and the pupils of their circular black eyes take the shape of yellow crosses. The insignia of a Spirit Dream Eater appears on their chests and is pink in color.

Nightmare Meow Wows have a different color scheme. The top half of their bodies are black rather than blue, and the bottom is pink rather than the Spirit version's white. Nightmare Meow Wows have white bands wrapping around their legs with purple paws, and they bear the insignia of a Nightmare Dream Eater on their chests. The spots on a Nightmare Meow Wow's side are purple in color, as are the tips of their ears. They have red-orange, round pupils and a mint green tongue, as well as a white muzzle and pale blue horn on their foreheads. Nightmare Meow Wows lastly possess a white tail and a black nose.

The Meow Wow's English and Japanese names reflect the Dream Eater's cat- and dog-like nature, in that they are mash-ups of the onomatopoeia for the cries dogs and cats make. "Wanwan" (ワンワン?) and "Bow wow" represent the sound of a dog's bark, while "Nyā" (ニャー?) represents a cat's meow. The two names seem to also incorporate puns on words of excitement, "Wonder" and "Wow".
