The Diamond Shield is a Shield that can be wielded by Vexen in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to the Diamond Shield+.

Design

The Diamond Shield is shaped like a diamond with concave edges. This diamond has four small, diamond-shaped gaps in its center. Its inner edges are blue while its outer edges are a blue-white color. Each of the sides sports a large spike shaped like one of the spikes on the Nobody symbol, and another, enormous one sprouts out of the top corner of the Shield. All five of these spikes have the same coloration; sky blue in the center with blue-white edges.

In the Final Fantasy series, the Diamond Shield is the shield from the set of Diamond Equipment, and it has appeared in all of the main games in the series, except for Final Fantasy XI. It usually provides a resistance to Lightning.

Gameplay

The Diamond Shield hits much faster than most of Vexen's Shields.

The ground combo starts with two frontal slashes, then Vexen brings his Shield up backwards to slam on the enemy.

The aerial combo starts with a slash then two circling strikes; pressing Y makes Vexen bring the Shield up and slam it on the enemy.
