The Tyranto Rex is a Dream Eater that appears in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

Design

The Tyranto Rex is a large creature resembling a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Its dark-brown face is complemented by a large purple jaw filled with many teeth, while its Dream Eater emblem can be seen on top of its head. Two large pink horn-like projections stick out from the top of its head.

The Tyranto Rex has a large brown body with an orange streak going down the side of it. It has a blue belly, and on its shoulders it has turquoise purple ridges. On its legs are four dots, going from light blue to purple, and it has large pink and purple claws at the end of its feet and hands, which are brown and blue. Its large tail has colorful, blade-like ridges.

"Bōkun" (暴君) means "tyrant" in Japanese. Its name is a pun on Tyrannosaurus Rex, meaning "tyrant lizard king".

Strategy

While fighting, the player can press to block the fire launched by the Tyranto Rex. When this Dream Eater rushes in to attack the carriage, attacking it will cause it to stagger and the attack will be cancelled. As its HP starts to dwindle, it begins to launch spirals of air that can stun Sora.

Story

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

While Sora and the Musketeers guard Princess Minnie's carriage, a large Nightmare Tyranto Rex ambushes them, knocking Mickey, Donald and Goofy off of the carriage and forcing Sora to fight it off. Template:Section-stub

Sora obtains the Tyranto Rex Recipe after defeating it in Country of the Musketeers. The Tyranto Rex can be created through three different recipes.

• The first recipe is a rank D recipe.
  • 1 Epic Fantasy + 3 Intrepid Fantasy
• The second recipe is a rank B recipe.
  • 3 Wild Fantasy + 2 Savage Fantasy
• The third recipe is a rank A recipe that has a 60% chance of success.
  • 3 Prickly Fantasy + 4 Wild Fantasy
