The Drak Quack resembles a fusion of the Haraguchi Ahiru and the wyvern, a type of dragon. Both of its names indicate that it is a "fake dragon"; "Modoki" (もどき ) is Japanese for "Pseudo", while "Quack" is both a euphemism for a fake, and an allusion to the Dream Eater's duck-like nature.
