The Clarity (明鏡止水 Meikyō Shisui , lit. "Clear Mirror, Still Water") is an Axe Sword that can be wielded by Lexaeus in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to Clarity+.
Design
The Clarity’s handle is a short, blue-grey rod with a short, pale yellow spike set in its pommel. Its blade is massive and flares out near both ends. The upper half of the blade is also curved, and somewhat resembles the blade on Marluxia’s Graceful Dahlia. Another, much smaller blade extends straight up from the handle and resembles a spike on the Nobody logo. The counterweight is a gold pyramid that also resembles one of the spikes on the Nobody logo when viewed in profile. The main blade is white and has red edges, while the smaller blade is gold with red edges. The Ursa Major Axe Sword shares the same design and this one, save for its different coloration.
Its name is a four-character idiom advising to have a serene mind (like a clear mirror or still water).
Gameplay
The Clarity's normal ground combo starts with a two-handed downward slash, followed by Lexaeus leaping into the air while performing an upward slash, and ends with a powerful, two-handed downward slam. The combo can be activated after the first downward slash, and consists of a leap with an upward slash, followed by a powerful, one-handed downward slam before ending with a fast 360-degree spinning attack.
The aerial combo consists of a two-handed upward slash and a one-handed sideways swipe.
