Story

Kingdom Hearts II

Sometime after Xemnas's defeat, Rafiki holds Kiara up on Pride Rock, to show her to the entire animal kingdom. Simba and Nala are present at the event.

Appearance

Kiara is a lion cub with orange fur. Her fur is significantly brighter on her paws, underbelly, mouth, around her eyes and inside of her ears, which is outlined in brown. The tip of her tail is black and her fur has a tiny ruffle on her head. She has yellow eyes with black pupils and arched, brown eyebrows.

Origin

Kiara originates from The Lion King and its sequel The Lion King II. At the end of the first film, Kiara was born and presented by Rafiki to the kingdom as her parents, Simba and Nala, watched on proudly. In the beginning of the film, as a young cub, Kiara was very playful and adventurous, but was annoyed by an overprotective Simba's warnings to remain in the Pride Lands and to avoid the Outlands. On Simba's behest, Timon and Pumbaa follows her to watch over Kiara's whereabouts. Kiara ventures in the Outlands and meets Kovu, an Outsider and Scar's chosen heir. Initially heeding her father's warning, Kiara was wary of Kovu, but after overcoming a near-death experience from crocodiles by working together, Kiara becomes friends with him. However, their playtime was interrupted when her parents and Kovu's adoptive mother, Zira, arrives and forbids the young cubs from meeting ever again. Simba scolds her for her recklessness and lectures her that as future queen, she must be careful. Kiara's expresses her reluctance to the title, but Simba tells her that that they are one and she will understand someday.

Years later, Kiara prepares for her first hunt. Although Simba promised her that she will be allow to hunt alone, he sends Timon and Pumbaa to watch over. However, Kiara discovers them and dashes out in a fit of rage from her father's broken vow. During the hunt, Kiara is trapped in a wildfire set by Zira's other two children, Vitani and Nuka, but is saved by an adult Kovu.
