Resembling the Kuma Panda Dream Eaters, the Ursa Circus is designed after a circus bear.
The Dream Eater's name uses the Japanese word for "bear" (熊 kuma ) and is a homage to the famous Japanese circus entitled "The Great Kinoshita Circus" (木下大サーカス Kinoshita Dai Sākasu ).
