Simple and Clean is the theme song of Kingdom Hearts, written and sung by Utada Hikaru.
"Simple and Clean" plays during the ending videos of Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories.
In the recent Japanese December commercial for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, the music played was "Hikari", the song's Japanese version.
Other Versions
Hikari is the original, Japanese version of "Simple and Clean". It was used in the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and in the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.
PLANiTB made a remix of "Simple and Clean" and "Hikari" which is played during the opening movie of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. This version is faster, shorter and has more of a dance mix feel to it than Utada's original song.
In addition, an orchestral arrangement of "Hikari" can be heard in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts Final Mix in the opening menu cinematic which appears if the player lets the opening menu sit for ten or fifteen seconds.
