Story
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
When Riku and Joshua arrive at the Second District, Beat appears and claims that after defeating Joshua, he and Rhyme would be able to go back to where they belong, and despite being warned by him, Beat summons a Kooma Panda to fight Joshua. However, the Spirit, alongside several Nightmares, attacks Riku instead.
After finishing the Mark of Mastery exam, Sora returns to Traverse Town to thank the Spirits that aided him on his journey. When he arrives, no one seems to be there. After a few moments, a multitude of Spirits start appearing to welcome him, including a Kooma Panda.

Strategy
The Kooma Panda is the only Spirit that can be fought outside of Link Portals.

Etymology
The Kooma Panda is a slow, but tough Dream Eater with a lot of HP. Weaker attacks won't faze it, but combo finishers or strong commands will send it reeling. It usually closes the distance with a multi-hit punch with a long wind-up - when this attack is coming, prepare to block.
The Dream Eater's name uses the Japanese word for "bear", which its English name spells phonetically.

Story
If the Panda is walking directly towards the player, it is most likely going to use its Tea-Table Flip, where it lifts and flips a piece of earth from under the player. This comes out surprisingly quickly, so the player needs good reflexes to dodge it. More rarely, it can perform a jumping slam attack, which is easy to see coming and can be blocked or dodged.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
Beat summons a Spirit Kooma Panda alongside several Nightmares to challenge Riku, but he defeats them all.

A Kooma Panda arrives with a multitude of other Spirits to welcome Sora when he returns to Traverse Town after finishing the Mark of Mastery exam.
After performing enough of its attacks, the Panda tends to become stunned from fatigue. When this happens, or even just between its attacks, you are free to attack it yourself. It is also highly susceptible to ranged attacks or status effects, which can prevent it from ever attacking the player.
section-stub

Strategy
The Kooma Panda blinks with a red color when taking damage, but those faced at the Circus take that red shade by default and blink with their default color when taking damage.

The Kooma Panda is a Dream Eater that appears in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

Story[edit]

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance[edit]

Design[edit]

The Kooma Panda is a rotund bear-like Dream Eater. Its Emblem is on its chest.

The Kooma Panda's name uses the Japanese word for "bear" ( kuma?), which its English name spells phonetically.

Spirit[edit]

As a Spirit, it has a bright yellow head, with an orange muzzle and a round black nose. It also has two yellow eyes with a black line running through them, and black eye-slots surrounding its eyes. On top of its head it has round black ears with a bright blue center. It also has a large round yellow torso that blends into turquoise closer to the bottom. It has blue arms and yellow hands which blend into red. At the end of its hands, it has three large sharp bright turquoise claws which blend into yellow at the end of the claws. It also has stubby dark blue legs, as well as flat stubby grey feet.

Nightmare[edit]

As a Nightmare, it has a bright blue head, with a yellow muzzle that blends to pink and a round black nose. It also has two circular red eyes within black eye-slots. On the top of its head, it has round black ears with a neon purple center. It also has a large bright blue torso that blends to purple closer to the bottom. It also has black arms and yellow hands that blend to pink. At the end of its hands, it has three large sharp bright turquoise claws which blend into yellow at the end of the claws. It also has stubby black legs, as well as flat stubby dull turquoise feet.

Rare[edit]

As a Rare Nightmare, it has a similar color scheme to its Nightmare version. It has an even brighter blue head, with a yellow muzzle that blends to pink and a round black nose. It also has two circular red eyes within black eye-slots. On the top of its head, it has round black ears with a neon purple center. It also has a large bright blue torso that blends to purple closer to the bottom. It also has blue and lime arms and yellow hands that blend to pink. At the end of its hands, it has three large sharp bright turquoise claws which blend into yellow at the end of the claws. It also has stubby blue legs, as well as flat stubby dull blue feet.

Strategy[edit]

The Kooma Panda is the only Spirit that can be fought outside of Link Portals.

After performing enough of its attacks, the Panda tends to become stunned from fatigue. When this happens, or even just between its attacks, you are free to attack it yourself. It is also highly susceptible to ranged attacks or status effects, which can prevent it from ever attacking the player.

The Kooma Panda blinks with a red color when taking damage, but those faced at the Circus take that red shade by default and blink with their default color when taking damage.
