Personality
Pongo is the ideal father. He is very caring of his wife and pups and in Kingdom Hearts his remorse at losing the latter is very pronounced. He is also very clever, concocting many on-the-spot plans; it was he who found a way to get his owners to meet. He also devised numerous escape plans when his family was being hunted for their fur by the villainous Cruella De Vil.

Abilities
Origin
Pongo has no apparent abilities in the Kingdom Hearts universe as of yet. But as displayed in the movie, he is a very cunning planner and a very tough fighter.
Pongo and Perdita first appeared in Walt Disney's 101 Dalmatians, which in turn was inspired by the book The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith, which was published in 1956. Although Pongo was essentially characterized the same in both the film and the book, he was married to another dalmatian (named Missis) in the original book, and by the end of the story found himself the father of ninety-seven puppies, as two of the total one hundred and one were adult dogs who lived with Pongo's family, away from Cruella De Vil. Perdita is actually a hybrid of the characters Perdita and Missis from the original book. Missis is Pongo's wife, while Perdita is a stray taken in by the family to help care for Missis's original fifteen puppies.

Notes and references
*Pongo lacks a voice actor in Kingdom Hearts, as Sora and his friends do not have a method for communicating with animals unless they are in the said animal's world and/or they utilize Donald's magic to become that breed of animal themselves (as is reflected in Sora's friendship with Simba and his journey to the Pride Lands).

Story[edit]

Kingdom Hearts[edit]

Prior to the events of Kingdom Hearts, Pongo and Perdita's world was destroyed. Together, they somehow found their way to Traverse Town. In addition, the ninety-nine puppies which Pongo and Perdita looked after had been thrown about to other worlds in the chaos.

The story of the dalmatians' plight managed to spread very quickly amongst the residents of Traverse Town.[citation needed] Leon was especially concerned about the matter, and brought it to Sora's attention.[1] Throughout his journey, Sora found the dalmatian puppies and sent them back to Pongo and Perdita in Traverse Town. Pongo and Perdita were very grateful, and offered Sora gifts for his journey as more and more dalmatians were returned to them.

After the defeat of Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, Pongo and Perdita returned home, along with all of the puppies.

Design[edit]

Pongo and Perdita are typical dalmatians with white fur that is speckled with black spots. Pongo wears a red collar, while Perdita wears a blue collar.

Personality[edit]

Pongo is the ideal father. He is very caring of his wife and puppies, and his anguish at losing the latter is very pronounced.[citation needed]

Perdita is a very protective mother and is despondent at the loss of her puppies. She constantly frets for the safety of her pups, and keeps a very close watch on them.

Origin[edit]
