Template:Enemy The Aura Lion is a Dream Eater that appears in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

Design

The Aura Lion, as its name implies, is a large lion-like Dream Eater. It possesses a heavily deep shade of blue making up the color of its face and body. A long, bushy blue-green mane stems from the face of the creature, fading from dark blue to purple at each end. It has red ears that are tipped with yellow and two red, pupil-less eyes (as with the rest of the Nightmare Dream Eaters). Surrounding its eyes are jet black lines. It has a large nose, going from pink to orange at its bridge and blue at where its nostrils would be. Around its black-lipped mouth is a shade of green, bearing four white fangs while the insides of its mouth are varying shades of purple. Its Nightmare Dream Eater emblem can be seen on the bottom of its mane. Curiously, the Dream Eater sports a mostly blue beard below its chin.

The Aura Lion's body is riddled with orange, circular and crescent-shaped markings. From its ankles to its feet is red and purple and blue wing-like growths sprout from said ankles. Three large yellow claws sprout from each of its feet, and it bears a red-to-orange tail with what looks like purple armor at its end with cyan accents. The beast's chest is teal, darkening as it reaches the underside. The tail, if one were to look at it from bird's-eye-view, strangely seems to be stemming from the red-colored back of the Aura Lion. As a Rare Nightmare, its dark blue color is replaced with white that fades into green and blue at varying parts of its body and face.

Like its Nightmare counterpart, the Spirit too resembles a lion. Its face and body are orange and it has a long, bushy red mane that fades from purple to teal at the ends. Its ears are blue and tipped with teal. Its eye shapes vary depending on eye color and disposition: it can be a purple and narrow rectangle (if it's Lionheart), yellow L-shapes (if it's Paragon), blue slit-eyes (if it's Clear Mind), or green hollow, half-circles (if it's Noble). It has the same black lines around its eyes as its Nightmare versions. Its nose is purple-to-blue with green at the front of it, and its four fangs are all white. Its mouth is black-lipped (a common trait for real life lions), its chin bears an orange beard and the insides of its mouth are shades of red. It has a Spirit Dream Eater emblem on the bottom of its mane.

Its body is marked with the same circular and crescent-shapes as its Nightmare version. Its feet are purple, with the ankle sprouts being yellow and green. Its claws are all red and are three for each of its feet. The chest is a pale shade of orange, turning green when it reaches its underside. The tail is cyan-to-green and yellow armor with green accents is at its end. Like its Nightmare versions, the tail seems to be connected to its purple colored back.

The Name "Aura Lion" in both English and Japanese contributes to its attack method of charging up its "aura" to use for most of its non-magic attacks and to its overall lion-like anatomy.
