The Majik Lapin's name comes from "Magic" and "Lapin", a type of rabbit native to northern Europe known for its cute appearance and its puffy fur. It is also based on a classic magic trick in which a magician will take a rabbit out of his or her hat. Its journal entry supports this by explicitly mentioning the aforementioned magic trick.
