Power is one of the material types from the Kingdom Hearts series used in Item Synthesis. Representing strength, the Power materials remained essentially the same in purpose between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II

Kingdom Hearts

The Power materials, like the other major synthesis materials in the game, came in three forms: Shard, Gem, and Crystal. Like many of the other materials, they also acquired a fourth form, Stone, in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix.

A power crystal: the rarest of the power materials

Like many of the basic synthesis materials, the Power materials went virtually unchanged between the games; the Stone version was included in the regular game this time. They are also one of the basic eight materials, and so collecting 30 Power Shards, 25 Power Stones, or 20 Power Gems will unlock those items for purchase in the Moogle synthesis shop. Power materials were assigned a dark blue color to distinguish them from the other materials.
