The Black Primer is a Lexicon that is found in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It is the form Zexion's Lexicon takes when not equipped with any Gears.

Design

The Black Primer is a rectangular lexicon. The top and bottom sides are concave and the spine of the book sports a white, hour glass-shaped symbol lining it. Both covers are dominated by a large, dark grey "X". These marks are rather uneven and blotched, and they are each surrounded by a grey border. All of the other visible spaces on the lexicon are black.

“Black” clearly refers to the weapon’s dark coloration. A primer is a textbook used to teach basic concepts. An encyclopedia is a reference material that covers a wide range of subjects.
