The Mage's Staff is Donald Duck's default weapon, introduced in Kingdom Hearts.

Design

The Mage's Staff's handle is black with a red pommel connected to a dull yellow section and a white ring near the tip and base. The lower half of the staff's head is bent and blue and has a blue "collar" with white edges folded over it, resembling Donald's sailor suit. The upper half sports a brown hat with a long, curled tip and a black, silver-buckled belt around it, similar to the hat of a classic Final Fantasy Black Mage.

In Kingdom Hearts II, the Mage's Staff has a smaller red pommel, grey rings on its handle, the blue sections are dark violet, and the hat is a slightly darker shade of brown.

In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, the Mage's Staff has the same design as its Kingdom Hearts II design, albeit with longer handle.

In Kingdom Hearts III, the Mage's Staff+ uses a nearly identical design to the Magus Staff.

Gameplay

In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days's Mission Mode, the Mage's Staff is Donald's default weapon. As such, it needs no Gears to be equipped. The ground combo begins with a step forward and a vertical slash downward, followed by horizontal slash to the right with a 360° spin. The aerial combo consists of a vertical slash downward, followed by a vertical slash upward, and finishes with a spinning slash starting at Donald's head.
