Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix: Enemy Journal Entries
I can make screenshots of the entries but neither write them down nor translate them. I don't know who's responsible for the entries of the exlusive KH Final Mix enemies (maybe someone from gamefaqs?) but can you, BebopKate or Yuanchosaan translate them or know someone who can?--ShardofTruth 20:25, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, I tried to get the Japanese writings recognized by two different OCR softwares (RedIris Pro 12 and Smart OCR lite Edition), but I got no satisfactory result, even with a lot more bigger images and better contrast etc. The KHII font seems to be very complicated or strange, I don't know. Maybe you have an better idea, here are the images. --ShardofTruth 13:35, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Picture Quality
Hey there, I'm a relatively new user, and I've been on a tiny bit of a personal mission trying to add pictures to all the Kingdom Hearts II limits. You've marked each of my gifs with the "bad picture" notice, and I'm a bit confused. I'm not upset at all, I'm obviously a greenhorn compared to you, and I just want to do the best I can do for the wiki, but maybe you could help me figure out what makes a "good" picture, as I compared my Eternal Session with other gifs on the wiki that are marked as good quality and I see mine as decent.
Any advice before I continue my crusade?
-NeutralObjections, July 8th 2015
- They need to be full-size rips of the HD game, with proper resolution, and include the entire Limit rather than just portions."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 23:59, 8 July 2015 (UTC)
- Kryten, I just wanted to point out that the whole Eternal Session animation lasts for circa 30 seconds, meaning with the current resolution (471x264px) the gif file would be around 40MB. This could be a potential performance killer for some visitors. Even the pages with the most animations at the moment (like Fire or Holy) don't load more than 7MB. --ShardofTruth 09:51, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- Is there a way to embed youtube for stuff like that, then?
- If not, then how long would each segment of the technique break up to?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:56, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Is there a provision for japanese seed names, like "Red Death" for "Red Legion" in the Hades Cup? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 20:19, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

KH & KHFM gummi enemies
Yes I know, it's a bit early to talk about them, the KHII section isn't even finished yet. But maybe you have an idea how to adapt the template for them. This is an extreme example from the Ultimania. Not every ship has two variants (Omega is the only ship that as a "C" variant) or sub variants (they just seem to affect the drops, maybe they are the "before/after rescue" equivalents, I don't know). Nearly every main variant (A, B or C) has a different Final Mix appearance, the stats are the same though.--ShardofTruth 22:41, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

The battle level of Terra and Ven after completing the Final Episode can be glitched so it stays the same as before completing the game. Some argue that the glitch is the increasing of the battle level instead. But that would mean that the level of the Keyblade Graveyard wouldn't rise from 9 to 10 which is cleary the case in the Japanese version and described by the Ultimania. --ShardofTruth 22:18, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

Workin' on the SEs
Could you translate this? It's from the ReCOM Ultimania description of the Confuse status.
敵の場合は, 操作キャラクターを見矢う.
At this point, I think we're down to these points:
- What statuses are there in KH besides Stun, Poison, Gravity, Stop and Aero Shield? (What is the effect that Kurt Zisa inflicts?)
- What statuses are there in KHII besides Stun, Magnet, and Freeze? (And do we count Doom in the Marluxia battle, that continuously damaging effect from the Xemnas I battle, or the effects from the Lingering Will battle?)
- What positive statuses are there in COM/ReCOM and BBS? (Do we count some enemy card effects? Is Illusion a status effect?)
Anything I missed? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 23:58, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Merging
|
Suite template
Kryten, I was moving some "(Boss)" labelled pages to the game namespace for the correct utilization of the suite template and I realized: What do we do with pages like Maleficent (Dragon) or World of Chaos? Due to their label, the suite template will not recognonize them as part of the character suite, or am I missing somenthing important here?
--Dark-EnigmaXIII 07:48, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- For "mostly bosses", we can either keep in them in the mainspace, or split off the game strategy stuff into a Game: page, creating two pages out of the current one. For specific stuff like Dragon Maleficent or Genie Jafar, it's also open to discussion whether we want to merge them into the Maleficent and Jafar articles, now that there is going to be more room on each page.
- The simplest solution would be to leave them in the mainspace, but I would personally prefer if we could merge them into their parent articles (at least for story), as they operate very similarly to how we merge the various versions of one character (like Valor Form or Timeless Mickey). If you guys agree, just mark them with merge templates and I can handle the cleanup.
- Also, if people prefer that the boss sections be separated so that each page only covers one of the boss's forms, then there's a version of the suite code that allows a custom navbox to be built, so that Maleficent's suite could have:
- Character
- Cards
- Quotes
- Gallery
- Gameplay (Witch)
- Gameplay (Dragon)
- etc.
- Just tell me whatever you guys decide you want to do, and I can get you the code."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:25, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know what you mean by "mostly bosses", but I agree with merging the non-gameplay sections into parent articles, and I like the idea of letting the suite template take custom input, like how the Character/Enemy templates take custom image tabs. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 15:54, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Neumannz: I mean those articles that we never made (Boss) articles for because it didn't seem necessary to split off the strategy "due to article size". Stuff like World of Chaos, or Jafar's Shadow, or Lucifer. However, the suite template gives us a bit more leeway with making "separate" pages, because they are still clearly tied together and it ends up acting like tabs."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 16:19, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

- Well, it seems like a good idea to me. So, overall, for "boss only" articles regarding character would be split in a similar way we did it a wikia? An overview section and a boss section? (of course, heartless and Nobodies wouldnt get that treatment, I assume) And yes, the suite template should offer a certain degree of customization for this kind of cases.
- --Dark-EnigmaXIII 17:00, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll set up the customsuite template tonight. What will happen is that pages like Maleficent will have their own /suite page that defines how their suite displays, so the coding will be a little bit different than for the ones where the suite generates automatically."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." Drive Form crap
What's your take on this thing? Never mind the fact it's not in a "finished" state, do we want to bring infoboxes back to the Drive Form articles? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:10, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
- "Obtained", "Represents", "Level up by", "Mirror Description", and "Status Screen Description" are all going to be very wordy, more than comfortably fits inside an infobox.
- I don't understand what "Boosts" is supposed to be. Does it mean what passive abilities the drives have? The "upgrades" that a Drive has all derive from its passive abilities, not any general increase to stats.
- "Synch Blade", "Form Color", "Growth Ability", and "Support characters" (if Support means "who gets eaten by the Drive") all seem like they could work in an infobox...but "form color" has no real significant within the games (and honestly seems like it's mostly our own OR), and Synch Blade and Support characters are not only gameplay stuff, but form the basis of the gameplay stuff, so there's really no way they wouldn't be redundant to the article itself, unlike the stats we normally keep in these things.
- My personal take is that infoboxes and tables work best when the subjects are setup so that each is very "fill in the blank". Forms, for the most part, do not work that way on the whole...although there are several bits that act like switches between the forms, such as Synch Blade, too much of the mechanics are either wordy and complex, or just not comparable—for example, that Anti Form cannot use magic or healing and cannot deactivate on command, that Wisdom Form doesn't use regular attacks, or that Valor Form doesn't use magic.
- Basically, my view is that infoboxes and tables are useful when they present the information more legibly than prose does. The few things that an infobox could handle for the Forms seem, to me, like they would be easier to read as they are now, in the lead. This seems to me like creating an infobox just so we can have an infobox.
- That's my opinion, but consensus is as consensus does. I do not think this thing should be implemented without community approval, and if a forum or talk page is created to approve it, I'd like the above critique to be made available."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:33, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
"Obtained" probably wouldn't be so bad in an infobox. I'm guessing "Boosts" is about whether Strength and/or Magic get boosted, but unless you're going to say by how much, it's too vague to mean anything (although there should be specific stat increases, shouldn't there?). "Form color" strikes me as something that should affect the appearance of the infobox, instead of being displayed. Aside from that, yeah, it does seem that the only real benefit is having a nice box to put the image in.
...Why don't we have the stat increases? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:51, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
- Unless I'm very mistaken, there aren't any. Wisdom Form has Magic Spice, Master Form has Master Magic, and Final Form has Crime & Punishment (I think), which are the things that actually power up the magical attacks, alongside a host of MP Haste and MP Rage-style abilities. I've never heard of it actually producing a boost to stats akin to equipped items."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 23:01, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
Really? You don't see a quantified difference in stats in the Status menu? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 23:08, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

In case you don't have my page under watch, here's the message I left: All right, I understand. I guess it's my own fault since I didn't know what I could do around here. With school and everything, you guys are always editing ahead of me. When the wiki gets busy again, I do want admin position back to block the vandals. By the way, can you delte the message you left on the old wiki. I ask for it to be protected, so I can delete it myself.
EDIT: Oh, one more thing! Can you please keep track of my editing? I don't keep up of how many edits I make since use the MonoBook and can't keep track of my edits. Let me know when I met the quota, please. I do want my rank back, and I promise to apply myself more (although I don't know since there's hardly anything I can do. I mostly good in grammar).--NinjaSheik 01:55, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

- 'Kay, thanks. Hey, Koro, I was wondering. Can you teach how to redirect pages? I never done it before, even with all the wikis I edit at. Like, ever. I won't wanna have the other users to revert my edits because I remove the red links and caused them trouble.--NinjaSheik 04:00, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

- That actually sounds brilliant, though I'd like to suggest: why don't we go whole hog and try and get the actual command box as a border for the templates? Could you talk to Erry, Soxra, and Shard, and see if that's something we could reasonably do, or whether the sprites just won't allow it?192.249.47.195 15:09, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

Good Tidings
Hello! You don't know who I am, and roughly 20 minutes ago, I didn't exactly know who you were either! I came from the Gamefaqs message boards, and after certain little...situation (catch all the hi-larity here: http://kingdomhearts.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:What_to_do_Here), and thanks to a few good members, I learned of your Wiki. The one that does things proper-like. Previously venting that I'd make my own, this comes as an awesome happenstance. I'm probably coming off as a real weirdo by doing this, but I'd like to offer my services! :3 From anything to graphics design, to a more professional editing format (I'm actually kind of loquacious...:X), to even getting this KHWiki more exposure, and less to The Keyhole. I actually have a few friends that can make that happen. :) So, if there's anything you need me to help out with, I'll be more than happy to! --PitchStiller 03:34, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
- We're actually trying to keep the Keyhole as the "fandom" wing of the whole compendium, so...I mean we don't hate the Keyhole. Regardless, we would love your help in building the encyclopedia portion!
- For one, we'd love to build more relationships with other fansites and forums. We also need a lot of help getting the item, enemy, and ability articles to our standard. The biggest thing on my own plate, I think, is getting the Enemy template finished for BbS and Re:coded. There's a description of what I need help with here, and if you or your friends know Japanese, that's basically what I need help with. I have the ultimania, and understand most of how the bestiary works, but there are a few stats that I'm having trouble with and a native reader could really help me out. Also, we have an IRC channel, if you ever want to talk in real time with me or the community."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:13, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
Game
Hello, I was just wondering which enemies are supposed to have Game: pages. For my merge articles, I have Behemoth and Behemoth (Boss), but here there's only a Behemoth page, so I was wondering if I merge all three articles into one, or create a Game article for the Behemoth. Thanks for any help! :) This concludes my wonderful story! https://68.media.tumblr.com/fd71825ca0b0cae83ea67a2f4afa842f/tumblr_osh3jih5LW1tlnss6o3_75sq.png08:52, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- As I understand it, all strategy and gameplay ("Playing as Riku", etc.) information will be split into the "Game:" namespace. The basic setup is that Game:, Card:, Gallery:, etc., are no longer related pages—the suite template basically turns the whole set into one large "super-article", with the namespace variations as enhanced sections of the page. Right now, the suite functionality doesn't quite display that as fully as it should, but I am working with a friend of mine to figure out the code to get the functionality fully running."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:01, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
This is for a non-character enemy, so do it onto the only Behemoth article. If we decide to split the article at a later point, we'll deal with it then. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 00:21, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the help guys. :) FINALREST 08:30, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Template:InfoboxOrg13. Do you have a plan for merging that? It'd be easy to add the extra fields, but it has a different color scheme and (very) slightly different layout. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 19:36, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- Semi-related topic: any character that's also a boss has all their "characters" categories replaced with "bosses" categories. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 17:56, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- Fixed. I had been going about the game characters thing completely wrong. My current solution will place all characters, enemies, and bosses within the character category for its game; if we decide that it is not acceptable to place minor enemies in those, then I will need to add a "charno" parameter which will need to be hand-applied to each article that we want removed. I don't think I can have it sort by spec, because if we decide that things like the Shadow don't count, then we'd probably decide that the Darkside doesn't either."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." With granted permission, and permission to express my opinion, I think it might be good if we let this guy on a little break. He's seem really angry right now, and no matter what anyone says, it's not going to quell his temper. I think a small break might help him cool down. If you haven't block him, I was wondering if I could, since it might be better if I do it since I haven't had any conflicts with him. I'm talking like a full ban or block. Maybe a week would do for him? I don't wanna get him any angerier than he already is and have him lash at my fellow, respected users.

Article Sceenshots
If "we have ALWAYS allowed screenshots in order to portray the scenes covered in the synopsis," then how come there are next to none in every article which requires a plot synopsis (characters, games, etc.)? I could see page formatting and text break-up being reasons, but that would mean we should set up some sort of synopsis screenshot policy to avoid potential conflicts with these issues... - Eternal Nothingness XIII 02:23, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

Xiggie's Talk Bubble Templates
Do you by chance know anything about why former contributor Xiggie is not registered all-of-a-sudden on the Wiki? The reason I ask is everyone with a talk bubble who used his custom-coding on the Keyhole and continued to here now has a bunch of red links in his or her template, thus it has spread throughout the Wiki (if you search "User:Xiggie," it says "User: Xiggie is not registered"). I see no problem with simply transferring the coding to my own userspace and fixing my template accordingly, but for the sake of everyone else and possibly to save myself some unnecessary work, is there anything that can be done to fix this? - Eternal Nothingness XIII 17:46, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

- If it is best to cover it on a specific page, like the mushroom items, then it should be covered on that page. The Highwind supplies could perhaps be covered on a dedicated article for the raft (it reappears in KH3D, doesn't it? We should definitely have an article for the initial plot thread). Miscellaneous stuff can probably be thrown on one page; didn't they scale it way back in the later games, anyway?70.34.147.3 06:28, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

I have some kind of question. I recently did an edit at Axel's page. You reverted it and also answered my question. Then when I looked at my edit, apparently it shows that I edited something about Axel's voice actors and several other things. The only thing I did was remove those gaps, so why when I look at my edit does it show me doing more than what I did? I know I only removed those gaps. An idea what happened here? Re:Xehanort's Heartless
Well I strongly disagree with using "Not-Ansem". While they don't technically know who Xehanort is at that point, it refers to him, NOT Ansem.
DONALD: It's the guy who's NOT Ansem.
GOOFY: You mean it's his Nobody!
If my memory serves me correctly, when they say this, Donald and Goofy know the guy they defeated wasn't Ansem, and instead, it was the guy in the painting, Xehanort. When they see Xemnas, they use this dialogue, after which Mickey recalls his meeting with Ansem the Wise. A Heartless cannot possess a Nobody; only a human can. So this is misinformation.
At least the characters refer to him as "Xehanort's Heartless" in the dialogue (you're using "Not-Ansem" in the context of the dialogue, thus I chose "Xehanort's Heartless" because he's called that consistently throughout the series in all areas, dialogue and now even in the Journal). If you as my opinion, dialogue altogether is a very weak basis for character/article naming. And yet, you seem to have a thing for it. - Eternal Nothingness XIII 16:23, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
- I don't have access to the Japanese material right now, I'll get it to you once I can. However, can you please provide citations for "Xehanort's Heartless"? The only times I'm aware of it being used is in the one scene at TWTNW, and in the KH3D journal entry (which uses it in line with "Xehanort's Nobody" and the other Org relations)."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:39, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
- I'll work on it. In terms of vagueness with regards to "human form", it's the game's own terminology. Ergo, we should go with it rather than our own personal preferences. It's better than loading the articles with unofficial terms or synonyms, when this is the closest thing to an official term we have. If we're drawing so much of our information from KHII all of a sudden, I hasten to mention how it's heavily emphasized Ansem is to be known as "Xehanort's Heartless" from now on, when all of a sudden we're going with "Ansem" again. - Eternal Nothingness XIII 21:12, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
- KH3D itself calls him "Ansem, Seeker of Darkness", as has every Ultimania and game that mentions him in any way. "Xehanort's Heartless" is used in one line of KHII to mistakenly refer to Riku-Ansem, and as far as I know it's only used in KH3D in a context parallel to calling Xemnas "Xehanort's Nobody". If you have other sources for it, again, please cite them.
- "human form", again, has conflicting meanings in previous games, and is not used consistently as an "official term" like "Nobody" or "Heartless". I hesitate to even call it consistent in KH3D, since I haven't played the whole thing, but the unofficial term "human form" can mean multiple things, not all of which are the meaning the article is going for, while "original persona" means specifically what the article is going for. In the absence of a term used specifically as a proper noun, it is accebtable and appropriate to choose synonyms of the common nouns in direct quotes the script uses, in order to better communicate the intent of the material.192.249.47.177 21:54, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

If you don't mind it being just me and maggosh, I could be basically done now. KB0's stuff is too narrow, and ENX's is extremely detailed. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 19:04, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Formatting of Command/Attack Articles
I'm sick and tired of arguing with you through messages and edit summaries. Edit warring over such trivialities as a difference of opinion is childish and dumb; we're both above that. While I'd like to think a truce should be in order, I know that's not going to stop us from disagreeing on things.
I don't like the idea of an image just sitting there to make the page look pretty, but it has no reason to be a thumbnail if it lacks a caption (pretty pink frames take up space unnecessarily). I specifically added in a more meaningful caption (like the type suggested in that forum you showed me), but that made the sentence in the introductory paragraph of the article extremely redundant. I understand perfectly that it's part of the Wiki's formatting to structure an attack/command article that way, but I'd like to suggest changing that format ever so slightly to avoid said redundancy:
- Transfer the descriptions of attacks from the introductory paragraph of the article to the caption of the .gif image illustrating it. That solves the "irrelevant caption" problem. To enforce this description within the article instead of simply relying on images, we add the in-game description of an attack or command using the Quote template and simply list the introductory paragraph as "<INSERT COMMAND NAME HERE> is a <INSERT COMMAND TYPE HERE> command that appears in <INSERT GAME TITLE HERE>".
What I'm thinking of would look like this (Meteor Crash is used as an example):
- "Riku only
Uses two slots
Muster energy in midair, then slash groundward as meteors rain down." - —In-game description of Meteor Crash from Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
Meteor Crash (メテオバースト Meteo Bāsuto , lit. "Meteor Burst") is a command exclusive to Terra in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and exclusive to Riku in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
I personally think this looks and works just fine. Not only does it work for attacks and commands, but for Shotlocks and other abilities, too. It should also clear up redundancy in the Mechanics section, as well. - Eternal Nothingness XIII 19:41, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I like it this way. The description/function of the command is a critical point that should be mentioned in the lead. If there is redundency in the Mechanics section, then that part should be fixed. If we need something for the caption that isn't normally covered in the rest of the article, how about the visual aspect? For example, nowhere in the Meteor Crash article does it mention that Terra summons streams of fire to his Keyblade before bringing it down for the impact. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 20:08, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- I personally find that to be unnecessary information. If I read "Before using Meteor Crash, Terra summons streams of fire to his Keyblade" as a caption, the only thing I'd be able to say after looking at the .gif image is "Yeah, I can see that." In my eyes, leaving a description of the attack or command out of the lead encourages the reader to continue browsing the page, where they then would see that we describe it yet again in the Mechanics section.
- A caption should at least be informative. Then again, a caption is meant to describe a picture (which is why I preferred the short, sweet, and simple "Terra using Meteor Crash in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep" caption), not serve as yet another addition to the lead...The only reason we're arguing about this in the first place is the on-going controversy about periods in captions. - Eternal Nothingness XIII 20:16, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- I don't agree that we have to remove the frame if there's no caption. It has a real aesthetic benefit.
- I don't think we can uniformly move the attack description to the captions, as they are often quite long, and we don't always have an animation for an ability. A list of the game appearances is also much lower-priority information than what the ability actually IS, as that list does nothing to define the subject of the page; while leaving the information later in the article may require the reader to read further in to learn basic facts of the subject, that's not really a positive in my view. If we could somehow use the image AS the introduction, I would agree with you, but without replacing the lead with the image, the image serves as a visual aid.
- Most of the command descriptions are going to be significantly redundant to the Mechanics sections. Plus, we have the Shout Project to add some quote flavor to certain commands.
- I do not feel that the Mechanics section should be covering a description of the ability's "in-universe" effect beyond describing things like range and damage output. The point of that section is to specifically get into the binary nitty-gritty of the code behind the ability.
- Yes, that's what captions do; you usually read them to verify you are interpreting the image correctly.
- "Terra using Meteor Crash in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep" is pure fluff. The image was not chosen for the page because of Terra or KHBbS; you might as well specify how much EXP he has at the time or what room he is in for all the relevance it has to the subject. The only relevant part of that caption, unless the point of the image is to specifically demonstrate how Meteor Crash differs visually from game-to-game and user-to-user, is that the image is indeed of Meteor Crash—and that is stunningly obvious by the title of the article. I've actually been disputing those kinds of captions since before DTN left, as I told you earlier. My view on it is somewhat informed by this, which I would highly recommend anybody writing captions to read.
- If we incorporate a caption into the page, then that space gives us a wonderful opportunity to inform the reader of something relevant and interesting that possibly doesn't fit well anywhere else on the page; for example, Neumannz's suggestion about the rain of fire. Merely restating the title of the article, or a prominent sentence integral to the introduction, or worst, details of the image which are unrelated to the article subject, is a waste of that opportunity and comes across as detracting redundancy to the reader.192.249.47.177 20:46, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- I quite like Neumannz's idea of adding detail as it adds more depth to our slightly-bare-compared-to-other-articles command pages. It also makes the reader notice things that they may of not noticed at first (I never actually noticed the rain of fire before). If we were to follow ENX's quote plan, we should not need to say 'In-game description of Meteor Crash from Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. It should just be "In-game description from Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance'. We shouldn't have to repeat Meteor Crash over and over again, I think the title makes it obvious that we aren't talking about any other command. TheFifteenthMember 00:19, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

KH3D treasure list draft
So umm yeah, how does this like as a draft? UnknownCheisā —— YOLO 05:19, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
- Shouldn't duplicate treasures still be listed separately? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 05:59, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
- That's what I would say. Also, use the category names from the game; I think you can see them all in the Moogle Shop."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:58, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
- So yeah, the list is now finish with all the worlds, redid it based on the category used in the game and I also found it easier to group the location for treasures instead of listing them separately, it save more on coding that way and its easier to look at. But if that doesn't work, I can redo it so that its listed separately. UnknownCheisā —— YOLO 21:37, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

"INTEGRATE THE PLOT AS DEPICTED IN THE GAME"
Considering the Drop mechanic lets the player play through either side of the World in whatever order they wish, how do you suggest that be done? The only cut-off is that Riku cannot enter the Castle in the real world until Sora fights Xemnas, and Sora arrives at the world first. Otherwise the events can be experienced in whatever order the player likes. DoreikuKuroofangu 02:42, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- The order is TT > LCdC > PP > TG > CotM > SS > TWTNW maggosh 02:47, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- Whatever order the player wants, sure, but the game depicts a certain order to the events.
- Roughly:
- Sora and Riku enter TWTNW together
- Sora's entire story
- Riku makes his way through the twofold nightmare and reaches Sora
- Riku emerges from the nightmare, and enters the castle for real
- Teatime
- There's really no need for the "side" stuff in these synopses, except possibly in the first ring of worlds. The stories of Symphony, Country, Town, and World are all written so that you can't discuss it completely by focusing on each character separately."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 02:48, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- That the game depicts them in this order is news to me, there's no order to the Theater since it splits up the cutscenes by side, and as I said, you can Drop from one character to the other at any time. Tell me where the game demonstrates this order and I'll reorganize the section accordingly. And I've no clue what you mean by "side stuff". DoreikuKuroofangu 02:50, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- The order is in the Reports' Story section. maggosh 03:04, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- The Story section also divides the summary into two "sides" for Sora and Riku. DoreikuKuroofangu 03:08, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- EDIT - I'll also note that those mentioned worlds not separating Sora and Riku is not a fair argument to make, since the stories are structured in ways that allow the story to be told continuously from Sora or Riku's side. TWTNW has no such connection, the story is completely different between the two and there is no connection.
- In TWTNW, when Sora sees Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Aqua and Terra, you can hear Riku's yells telling him to wake up. This connects the two stories as at the end of Riku's side of dream-TWTNW, he is seen saying the exact same thing to Sora before his fight with Anti Black Coat. You have wormed your way to the very nadir of repugnance. - Erry 04:11, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- Although the player is free to be in any world they wish, even though it doesn't make sense, the plots of Symphony, Country, Town, and World explicitly depict the other character fulfilling their part of the story at the same time. For example, in Symphony, Sora and Riku finish their first books at the same time; when their individual books on their own aren't able to unlock the final book, their combined melody does the trick. TWTNW has the same setup, although you need to be paying more attention to see it. In fact, Riku's story section for TWTNW leaves a huge blank space from his arrival to the first event, to allow room for Sora's story."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 05:23, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

Yeah... Don't mean to butt in or anything, but since I'm the one doing the stories (or "sides) for the worlds and I've been keeping an eye on this, do you want me to stop until we figure out a plan to do this? I already started of Prankster's Paradise, just a paragraph or two, but if you this idea to combine both them, then should I stop?--NinjaSheik 15:15, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- Instead of using separate headers, just use "meanwhile" whenever we have Sora and Riku doing something in the same world at the same time, and try to keep to the order presented in the plot as much as possible. I think The Grid, Prankster's Paradise, and La Cite des Cloches are the only worlds where the interlink isn't explicit, so for those you can just go, "Sora's nonsense, meanwhile, Riku's hullaballoo.""We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:28, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
I've always thought that badly written information is better than none at all, at least when it's visible you can slap a template on it so people know there's stuff to fix up, but I guess prioritizing coverage over aesthetics is silly. In the meantime I still have no idea what you guys are expecting, and it looks to me like you can't even agree with each other on such either, so how about you guys figure out how you want the section organized and when you have, fix it yourselves, I've done my part. As the saying goes, "if you want something done right" and all. DoreikuKuroofangu 10:54, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Okay, I understand, but this may be a bit tricky. I'm going to watch both worlds carefully to see what happens with Sora, then Riku, and blah blah blah. I'll try my best, though.--NinjaSheik 19:59, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

- Also: There is a template there, and on the talk page. There are plenty of templates.
- Furthermore, it's not hidden because it's ugly, it's hidden because it's wrong; both because of the lack of integration, and because of stuff like claiming that Isa appears in the game (which he very definitely, categorically does not). Especially with the propensity of a lot of wiki editors to simply copy info from page to page instead of actually checking it each time...and given the flack we get from our readers for having any inaccuracies...we absolutely do not want to display anything that's false on the wiki."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 00:48, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
- "given the flack we get from our readers for having any inaccuracies...we absolutely do not want to display anything that's false on the wiki." - bad news, you're a Wiki, people are always going to say that no matter what you do, by nature of being a wiki it is well-known that anyone could add any content to any page with no promise it'll be fact-checked. Suspicion from visitors of the content comes with the territory for wikis. And again, you obviously know better than I what needs to be fixed, so I'll trust you to do a better job than I could. DoreikuKuroofangu 00:59, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
Hey, Kryten, sorry to bother you, but since you hidden SoS on the page, I figured it was good time to approach you about this. I have been thinking of ways to rewrite the worlds' pages, but I'm having trouble of finding the right way. I think what I'm saying is I'm nervous and I don't want to mess anything up. KH3D is really different from the other games, and even BBS was easier to figure out where "to put this, and where to put that". So...and I know this may be asking a lot of from you, but perhaps...you could do a world I've already done, like SoS, and show me how to integrated to show the chronological plot as one. That way, I won't be nervous and know how it do it properly like you want me to do. I'm really sorry asking you this, but I told you it may be a bit tricky for me since KH3D is different from the other games.--NinjaSheik 21:49, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Boss Nightmare Tyranto Rex size
Actually, if you look at the videos of the boss fight, or if you played the game yourself, the size of the boss Nightmare Tryanto Rex boss towers over the carriage and two times as large as Sora, while the normal-sized Nightmare Tyranto Rex and Spirit version barely reach the carriage's full height. So the boss version of the Rex is large compared to both its normal enemy version and Spirit version. -- 98.196.61.9 22:53, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

About Synthesis Materials template
Hello, Kryten. Neumannz is helping me finish the template. He said you had some ideas. I want to ask about the Unique Materials. Since it can't be considered as a group, in which groups I can include Orichalcum, Secret Gem and others. I think they could be included as Elemental Materials. I would like if you could take a look at the template, when you have the time. I'm trying to fix up the points you told Neumannz. I think that instead of putting a parameter for different names, we should make a tabbertab for each game, with the name and stats. The price, for example, differs in each game. - MateusinhoEX - 12:32, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hello. Your ideas helped a lot. About the Similar Materials, now that there are other things to be shown, that parameter should be removed, mantainin the Synthesis Materials list on the bottom of the page, as it is. That's how the template looks now. What do you think. I don't know if Dream Pieces could be bought. Also, I still have to add a parameter for sell prices, but I don't know if it is really necessary. - MateusinhoEX - 20:02, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Real-world locations
Hello, my name is Eduardo and I am new in this wiki.
I noticed we have a problem in the article Real-world locations. Actually, I am a little confused. You reverted my first editions in this page claiming that it was wrong according to the notes in the sections. Well, you was completely right, so I edited it again adding references to the specific sources, as you mentioned. But you reverted it again, and did not presented reasons this time.
I do not want to get enmities and rivalries in this wiki, and I also do not want to leave the articles incomplete or without quality when it can be better. Then, I would like you explain me what exactly must be added in the articles together with or instead of the sources I added. Thank you advance and have a nice day! - EduardoKH (talk) 00:40, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
- I have read your last message; thank you for the clarifications about my editions, there were some things I really did not understand about it. I will search for the specific quotes/references on the real-world locations in the games, and include them in the article. But, I still have a question: Why did you remove Mulan's quote if you said it was not placed incorrectly? Maybe you have done a singular reversion and did not notice these details. Can it be put back in the article? - EduardoKH (talk) 08:36, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
Water vs Aqua (also Lightning)
Since you filled out the tables on Link System, so you know what the deal is with the "Water" and "Aqua"? You had the Attribute as "Aqua" and the Style as "Water", which is reasonable considering the Japanese names, but Shard did the opposite when entering stats in the infoboxes. (Also you had "Lightning"-style, and Shard used "Thunder".) I'm not sure which to go with. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 00:35, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
Red Links on Xenmas's Page
Hey, Kryten, quick question: The red links for the Altar of the Naught and Memory's Contortion, what do you want me to do with them? It's all right if I make them redirects?--NinjaSheik 21:40, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
(Insert number) questions:
- What does 1段階目 mean? Context: refers to first charge level of Proud Roar. Fairly inconsquencial.
- On articles for sleights, should card combination be under Mechanics or Learning? Most of them currently are under Learning.
Will likely remember more questions later. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 04:13, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- Looks like it should mean "1st level" or "1st stage".
- Probably mechanics."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 11:37, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
ゲージが満タンになった回数 (Context, determines what items Bambi drops in KH) --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 05:00, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Please examine. Also, I want to create a Template:Donald so that we don't have to all-the-time type out [[Donald Duck|Donald]] as we often do. Thoughts? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 06:03, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
- Sure.
- "that can be used exclusively by Riku" doesn't make sense to me. Why not use "exclusive to Riku"?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 02:49, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
Alright, "exclusive to" it is. What about the Drop Bonus line? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 03:13, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
- "Dark Break can be purchased from the Drop Bonuses for X Drop Points when Sora drops, once x worlds are cleared."
- Does Shop Level go up when either Sora or Riku clears a world? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 03:53, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
- I don't actually know. The Bradygames guide is tremendously unhelpful in this regard; ask Shard about the Ultimania."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 01:11, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
- Does Shop Level go up when either Sora or Riku clears a world? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 03:53, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
How about until that's settled I just say "after reaching Shop Level x"? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 04:55, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Dark Seeker Saga image
Hey there. Nice to see I was a bit of an influence/inspiration for you XDDDD anyway, in all fairness, Kryten, I think the image you put up is more representing of the True Organization XIII than the incarnations of Xehanort himself (Terra-Xehanort was missing, after all). I probably should have said this earlier, but I've reverted the image back to the old one and uploaded yours as an independent one, citing and crediting you as the creator, to be used on the True Organization XIII page for the time being until the other members are revealed. You seem to be big around here, so maybe you can put it on the page; I can't, because it's blocked. All regards, and thanks for the help. EnglishJoker (talk) 14:59, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

FYI, I never was showing hatred towards all of you, and neither is it ever considered to be rude. But what I'm trying to say is why wait for a long time when it comes with VA's. Sure, you rarely put them in because Many of you tend like to have a source for this and contact the VA's who've been involved. In all honesty,I just think it takes longer than usual to happen because VA's are like celebrities, they either may respond to them or their agent will respond, but again it takes months maybe even a year to respond. Look, I'm just saying why not match them or listen closely to their voices in the games and find out who's the voice actor who voices this character. It's easier but I doubt many would agree to that! Anyhow that just my advice for you, and chao!--98.200.71.254 12:38, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

Chi Logo
Lol. It's funny you should ask - I was one of the site regulars who managed to get into the beta, and they didn't use the logo in-game. At all. Like when you go to the official site with the link to the beta (at the time), and you punch in your yahoo account, the game just loads automatically. First you're hit with a tutorial slideshow, and you're automatically loaded next into character creation followed by the main hub. The logo is actually never visible in-game. It's weird. But anyway, my rationale regarding the logo is that from the main site, it's inconsistent with the others - first off, its width contorted inwards by roughly 20%. Secondly, there's that ugly black pixelated outline (it's especially ugly around the crown at the top middle of the logo), and lastly, it has a fade-out light green effect. In contrast with the other logos which are all extremely straight-forward. The logo I uploaded was from the official press release (Message from the Kingdom), and it fits the consistency of the others. What that other user doesn't get that is...higher resolution isn't always synonymous with higher quality. And rather than edit war with him, I thought it'd be best if I explain that to you first thing before changing anything. 68.230.252.5 22:57, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
- This is a game that's not part of the main series (Sora's story) so it's fine to have things that don't go with the rest of the series since it's a) non-canon b) not connected to the other titles except in the fact it shares worlds with other games. And yes, I am that other user and I'm part of staff so I can think logically and process what I'm about to do and say. You have wormed your way to the very nadir of repugnance. - Erry 23:27, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
- ...That doesn't even make any sense, and frankly, that's just an empty excuse to stick with your upload. So.....no.68.230.252.5 00:29, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- Is there any form of anything that counts as the "official entry" for the game? Between the official blog and to just be announcements, and I'm inclined to go with the more consistent logo. 'course, that's my personal opinion, we'd need community approval."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 23:58, 6 April 2013 (UTC)
- Doesn't look like. Just the official site and blog post - well, and Famitsu - they actually have the highest quality logo. The one I uploaded was actually a combination of both the blog post and famitsu's article - the majority of it is 90% from the official blog post though. If you look at the official logo from the blog, it's a transparent variation - but the kana at the bottom has a white stroke border designed for darker layouts and backgrounds. The one Famitsu however has the characters inverted for lighter backgrounds. All I did was shop the Famitsu lettering onto the blog's logo, and reduced the image size to about 70% to increase overall quality and clarity. And of course, to remain consistent with all the other logos uploaded to the wiki. So, yeah - the one I uploaded was perfect if I say so myself. All Erry did was complicate things for no damn good reason. >:< 68.230.252.5 00:34, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

- Lol, now you're changing your argument - you've stated, and this on record by the way, that you uploaded from the official website. Really, Kryten. Who's being unreasonable here? While I'm trying to explain the situation, he's changing his story. 68.230.252.5 03:19, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

- Personally, I would much rather we have an official, unedited image that doesn't match than one that has been "massaged" to fit. Whether or not SE can keep their act consistent is no skin off our back, and if we absolutely need to make a decision, I can contact SE and try to get an answer from them."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." Image Issue
Hello Kryten! Sorry to bother you, this stupid image won't cooperate.
[This image] is having problems with its location. The 20 pages that are said to be linked to the image (according to the "What links here") do not have the image anywhere on the 20 pages. (I had to use the "search text thingy" (Crtl+F) to look for it and it wasn't there). I recently uploaded a new version of the image (with a different name) that was linked to NinjaSheik's talk bubble template, causing me to switch the links. I think on all 20 pages is her template for the talk bubble and the new image is switched on the template, it should be fine but it is not; the system says that File:Nammine-Happy-Live.gif is linked but the only image that I see is File:Namine (Happy Live) KHCOM.gif
Can you fix this problem? Thanks! ANX219 18:46, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
Kingdom Hearts Manga
Hello, I created the Kingdom Hearts Vol. 1, 2, etc chapters and I understand why you moved them, but why where they moved to an uncreated page? KingdomKing97 (talk) 21:48, 26 June 2013 (UTC)KingdomKing97
- The page needs to be created as a hub for the individual chapters. To quote Kryten's comment:
Especially considering the fm and upcoming reorgs of the chapters, I doubt this is needed, and the chapter articles should drop it from their page titles. See the list of xros wars chapters on digimon wiki as a guide for setting up the hub page.
If needed, though, we could use the tfwiki model for collections, foregoing the redundant synopsis and character list info while focusing on release info. See their pages on the idw collections for examples."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:31, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- The pages he is suggesting as potential guidelines is this one and this one. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:25, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
So, like for example, this:
Image | Title | Original Airdate | Volume | Episode |
---|---|---|---|---|
File:KH Manga 2a.png | Invader | October 2005 | 1 | 2 |
Sora is visited by a strange man in the Secret Place until interrupted by Kairi. That night, a storm starts to brew and Sora returns to the island to check on the boat only to find Riku enveloped in darkness. |

OK, I need to get this resolved. Why is the Ultimania giving different numbers than everyone else is getting? What is the missing factor here? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 05:00, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- I have no idea, I was just reincorporating the guy's thing. I'd have to start a new game to check the LP values, and I still have a lot of training to do and also it's just really boring."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 08:37, 4 July 2013 (UTC)

You see, I've been taking driver's education for the last four days, so I go to sleep earlier and spend most of the day driving with my instructor. I wasn't able to get online until three, so the message you sent was... Yeah, you know. Anyway, I'm really, really sorry! When I got home, I came to the IRC to see if you there, but you weren't so... Well, in any case, what is that you wanted to speak to me about since I missed the meeting? Some of my friends went to Comic Con and told that getting in and buying merchandise is super expensive! :O As expected for the biggest convention in the world (in my opinion). So no, I'm not going. T_T So unfair... But on the bright side, people post videos and stuff on the web about Comic Con, so I won't miss any news announced there! :) Are you going, Kryten?--NinjaSheik 16:32, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Manga Questions
This all pertains to List of Kingdom Hearts chapters and the Kingdom Hearts manga. The chapters page is missing the summary sections and some images, but is basically done...unless we don't like the table. Almost all KH manga volume articles have been moved to the appropriate names, the remaining need to be moved are the following: (These are the official manga chapter titles.) Traverse Town, Keyhole, Agrabah, Maleficent, Olympus Coliseum, Atlantica, Pinocchio, Pirate Ship, and Ursula. We cannot move these manga articles as their renaming would conflict with already existing articles. I have a few ideas for a naming sequence for these special articles. Please let me know which one you prefer, or if you have a better idea.
I'll use Traverse Town as an example.
Method 1: "Traverse Town"
Method 2: Traverse Town (KH manga)
Method 3: Traverse Town (manga)
I'm leaning more towards method two. That's my first question. Thanks!--Xion4ever 19:16, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
- Traverse Town (chapter)."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 05:31, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- Done. All KH manga chapters are now moved to their proper locations. My second question: how do you want the "hub page" for the KH manga to be? I've already started a hub page for KH. If we want to follow the hub page idea as seen for the Transformers IDW collection, the hub page is basically complete. The next step would be to move on to creating the individual volume hub pages- again like the Transformers Wiki has here. If you think that is what we should do, I'm on it. If you think we should create the individual volume pages, most of the information would be exactly like the Transformers Wiki did. However, the content section is different...We have the List of Manga Chapters page as well as the individual chapter articles. Would you rather have a bulleted list like this:
OR a link to the List of Manga Chapters page like:
If we don't want the volume hub pages, then none of the above matters.--Xion4ever 19:15, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- Let's start with the list and decide whether to split it out based on whether it handles all our needs."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:19, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
Similar designs
We've done it to numerous synthesis materials, the boosts and what not. I don't see how we can't put "dubbed as X in Y game" on the article if the design is similar if not exact. You have wormed your way to the very nadir of repugnance. - Erry 21:23, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
- Energy is one case, it retained its KHII name yet the BBS name wasn't applied. Then you have Hungry which got the BBS name and not "Serenity" from KHII. In this case, I want us to apply what was done to Energy's article or we can just have an "Other Appearances" section where it says "The Destroyed Behemoth appears again in Kingdom Hearts χ as the Behemoth Subspecies". You have wormed your way to the very nadir of repugnance. - Erry 23:20, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
What the hell is Maggosh's problem?
This is a dead-serious question. I know there's been some heat between me and this wiki in the past, but when I look at that guy's edit history...it's like, a THOUSAND TIMES worse than any potential problems anyone else could've caused. This guy JUST REVERTS EDITS. Nothing fucking more. I make an edit to another page, VERY TINY edit - like, four characters, just to add a tiny tiny bit of consistency to a page. And boom, reverted. Rinse and repeat a thousand times more with a thousand other folks. And NOT ONCE does he even attempt to explain why he reverted it. NOT ONCE does he make an attempt to communicate with people as to why he did that. I would need six hands to remember how many times I tried to reach out to him to no avail, and these days, at best I can just throw a little bit of hostility towards him, because hey, if it doesn't reach his apparently idle brain cells it at least makes me feel a little bit better. That guy is a serious problem for your wiki. Not only are his "edits" counterproductive, but he's driving people away for no fucking reason. He instigates edit warring because he doesn't bother to explain his actions, so all the other party can do is essentially revert his reverts. Put a godamn leash on him, or put an end to him. ...In a manner of speaking, y'know? Cause it's seriously getting annoying. One love. 24.254.139.24 16:10, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi, the user has given me link to more Heartless with world exclusive appearances: Graveyard, Toy Soldier, Magnum Loader, Strafer, and Devastator. If you want to view the differences, go to my talk page. Rips of these would probably be a good idea too. The Italian wiki also has found two new pumpkin Heartless for KHX, so we will need to add them at some point.--Vanitas (talk) 03:54, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
- As far as the KHII enemies go, I think Shard already addressed those."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:49, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
- I just had the time to check out the Barrel Spiders and I've noticed something strange: The default model, that is displayed in the journal in KH and in the worlds where this Heartless doesn't appear in KHRECOM (Traverse Town, Wonderland etc.), is only used for the Olympus Coliseum cups in KH and never in KHRECOM. So basically every world, the Barrel Spider appears in KHRECOM, uses a slightly different texture. The textures used for Neverland and Monstro are the same ones used in KH for these worlds.
- I also had a closer look at the other enemies and the Toy Soldier and the Graveyard indeed look slightly different in Halloween Town, so I will make new renders for them. The Space Paranoids enemies on the other hand don't use a different model when outside of their world (in the Underworld cups for example), so even if they glow more, I don't know how to replicate that with the tools I have. ShardofTruth 03:40, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
Halloween Town
For the other characters who appear, I could probably get screenshots, but I don't know how to upload images, could you tell me how. Also for the fact template - what information needs to be placed there?--Vanitas (talk) 10:46, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

Would you have some time to get on the IRC? There's a matter I'd like to discuss regarding both the wikia and here. Chainoffire (talk) 04:05, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
Sorry I didn't get your message in time, we've already solved the issue. It was the thing with Disney wiki. Thanks anyways! Chainoffire (talk) 04:34, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
Re:KH1 NPCs
Is a group picture an option or do you prefer single images? ShardofTruth 16:52, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
- If it's all the NPCs for one world, group image would be fine so long as they're not named. What about if they have gameplay significance, though, do we want to use the images for that, or would screenshots be better?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:16, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
- Only if we need an image of them to make it clear who to talk to...and that seems like a full screenshot that shows the surroundings too would be even more useful."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:33, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Hey, I'm an admin of the French wiki. I saw that you made this page and I wondered if by any chance you could point me to where I could find the music files on that website. He's referring to the expression "beating a dead horse" to point out that your edit is basically saying something that doesn't need to be said. Since the previous sentences describe the countdown and its effect, it's unnecessary to point out one particular case when it goes without saying. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:19, 29 July 2014 (UTC)

Could you give your opinion on this please?
Hi Kryten, could you share your opinion on the card template that KSM made for KHX? You can find the discussion here, the template here and an example here. Currently I have some time on may hands so I would like get it started, maybe even doing the items next. ShardofTruth 07:54, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
- Only thing I'd change, is it possible to implement the |- at the beginning of the template's transcluded code? Then we could add two more templates for the header and footer."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:08, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

Dark Aura Captions
I think you just solved our dilemma. I'm actually quite okay with the idea of just listing the name of the game an image comes from, as you did on Dark Aura. What do you think? - Eternal Nothingness XIII 17:19, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- Basically:
- "Captions should only be used when necessary"
- —KrytenKoro
- User and name of game are only important if they serve as clear delineations of a variant of the technique
- Placement of image in a section will almost always make the game clear. Lead images will usually need clarification of game of origin, unless the technique is identical between games.
- Practical use of the technique is (or almost always should be) described in the article text.
- A caption should justify the caption's, and to a lesser extent the image's, existence in the article. If the article text doesn't make it clear (usually through describing the practical use of the technique) why the image is there, the caption should.
Honestly, all but the lead image on that article could stand to lose their captions entirely. Actually, we could stand to omit all but the KH3D (most recent) and KH2 (variant) images, placing the others in a Gallery: page if absolutely necessary."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:09, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I'm still confused as to what you want. Are you saying no captions unless absolutely necessary? - Eternal Nothingness XIII 19:56, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- Pretty much. I'm not sure where the idea to caption everything came from, but it seems pointless to me, and patronizing to the reader."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:30, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- So should we start purging any and all captions from the Wiki, then? Or does this only apply to ability images? - Eternal Nothingness XIII 22:58, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- I can't say I speak for consensus, but yeah, I believe it would be better writing to purge those captions that don't serve to inform the reader of anything new."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:35, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
- I've been starting to feel like those captions are a waste of space, too. But I admit seeing the plain thumbnail frame still bothers me a little. Should we make a forum about this then, to get the consensus? - Eternal Nothingness XIII 16:25, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
- Sure. We do have the "frame" option, as well."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:30, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Rawr. King of the lions!
Any reason for this? It just creates a double redirect. Chainoffire 07:56, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
- Per discussion on the talk page, Lion Form should probably be split off. It has more in common with Drive Forms than world costumes, and is treated as such in-game."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:17, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
Should a page be made on "Lion Form" or "Lion Sora"? Also should we keep that little section on Form:Sora and have it only deal with the appearance and link to the full article? Chainoffire 06:44, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
- Use the term the pause menu uses, I would suggest splitting all lion content from Form:Sora and leaving a main link."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:07, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
- It's just a subtab that says "Lion" under the surtab "Sora". There's no where that says "Lion Form" or "Lion Sora". :/ Chainoffire 18:02, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
- If that's the same menu that uses "Valor" to mean Valor Form, etc., then I would assume the bradygames guide is correct to name it "Lion Form". Go with that."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:26, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
- Taken care of. Feel free to look over it and make any unnecessary changes.
EDIT: Also, would you mind taking care of this? Chainoffire 03:28, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
Few Questions:
- Is there a reason that there's no KH3D moogle shop? I can do that if you just haven't gotten around to it yet.
- Is there a place to put the names and locations of the moogle shops? (From what I understand in KHII, the moogles can move around depending on what part of the story you're in until they get to their final "resting place". So rooms, not just worlds. Also, do different moogle shops sell different items?)
- Should we attach the "Mini-games" category to the minigames navi rather than have it be on each individual page? Also, do we really need the different Mirage Arena matches have a category? When using the {{Arena}} it makes it so the title is turned into a category, which seems rather unnecessary imo.
Chainoffire 19:25, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- I'm very slowly trying to get to it, but I'm terrible and you're more than welcome to start it first if you wish.
- I was not aware they moved -- they always seemed to be in the same places for me. Is it possible they just appear multiple places in each world?
- I'm not so keen on that, since for some reason the mini-games navi includes topics that are, sure, sidequests, but aren't considered mini-games in the game proper. I feel like the nav would have to be curated first, but I'm not sure if that would be helpful.
- The Enemy template should be categorizing Unversed and bosses into the arena battles in which they appear, as with the Coliseum cups. If it's not currently doing that, it needs to be fixed."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:59, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- I got a start on it, but there's a few concerns:
- Should we put sell values? I didn't see any of them on the other tables, I was wondering if we should put them on there or leave them to the individual pages.
- Do we have icon images for KH3D? I can't seem to find any.
- How do we implement bargain flurry? Do we just put it as a tab?
- I'm not sure what you unlock during what rush levels, so I'll be filling in those later.
- How do you know your "shop level"? I don't see it.
- For example, in the Land of Dragons, the moogle moves into 3 different places depending on where the player is in the story. Bamboo Grove -> Outside village gate -> Inside burnt building.
- No, it's not currently doing that. It's linking the actual Arena match as a category. I'll leave that to someone who knows what they're doing.
- I'm not sure if you're still on, but I'm on the IRC if it would be easier to deal with the moogle table. Chainoffire 04:14, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Bargain Flurry and sell prices are constant percentages of the original buy value, and should be covered in the explanatory paragraph; see BBS and KH3D sections for details. The icons should be the same as in BBS, honestly. Shop level is just how many worlds have been completed; it would have to be checked in the ultimania, or by beating the game.
- The Enemy template is incomplete, and should include stat coverage for the Mirage Arena. Unversed who appear within the Arena should have their stats filled out appropriately. Doing so will add them to the appropriate arena category, so that each Arena category will contain the arena article, as well as the articles of every enemy that appears within."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." Drop Shot IS an earthquake !
There, Marluxia creates much more than a simple shockwave like the one of the Specter when it dives into the ground, he creates an earthquake just like Lexaeus' attacks like Impact Quake or Ground Impact. -- BraviDunno 17:29, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, you keep saying "simple", and that doesn't make any sense. Shock waves can go as large as intergalactic -- the shockwave from a nearby supernova is theorized to have caused our solar system to start coalescing.
- If it's a wave of energy on the ground, it's a shock wave. If it's the ground actually shaking, it's an earthquake. An earthquake is a type of shock wave that propogates through the ground, it has absolutely nothing to do with size or scale."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:07, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
Through the ground, or across the surface? Because those are very different things. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:03, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- Earthquakes generally don't have an "explosion of light" aspect. The ground does shake and fracture, but the important part of the attack is the damaging wave of light."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 01:26, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
- Same thing in Lexaeus' case. This sleight reminded me of his. -- BraviDunno 12:47, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
- Then Lexaeus' article should also call it a shock wave. Earthquakes don't shoot lasers."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:12, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
- And why Impact QUAKE is called like this ? -- BraviDunno 18:38, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
- Dude, it's not our job to tell SE they named things incorrectly. Drop Shot does cause a quake, but the thing that is actually important about the attack is that it creates a shock wave. If the wiki finds it necessary, I can go and translate the official attack description from the ultimania, but if you just look at the attack, the bit that's actually important is the energy shock wave."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:31, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

- This is an earthquake and it's massive, it's not at all like Circle Reject. You must have not seen the attack exactly but this shockwave propogates through the ground so this is an earthquake. -- BraviDunno 07:54, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
- I was watching a video of the attack as I wrote this. The ground (technically not earth, to be pedantic, since we're on the 13th floor of a building anyway) cracks, yes, but the part of the attack that is actually damaging and is thus the point of the attack is the shock wave of energy. A quake is a type of shock wave, but in this case it's a variant of the shock wave that's there simply as a visual byproduct.
- Look, if it'll make you happier I'll translate the official description from the Ultimania."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:40, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
Moogle Shop update
Nice work on updating on Chain of Memories. One thing that would really need updating is the Moogle Shop from Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. I think in this case a separate list is needed for this one because unlike Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, too many recipes are different from the original Kingdom Hearts game were simple add-ons for the new recipes would make it too messy. Also another part of the plan I have is to copy the original list, carefully modify it with the updated recipes, and then carefully add in the Final Mix exclusive items. What do you think of this? -73.190.124.47 19:12, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Images
I'm out of practice with policy here - is it preferred that images for enemies be from a specific source or something? Some of the Unversed images are poor quality and I could upload some better ones via a model viewer. DoreikuKuroofangu 17:20, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- As long as the image is derived from the official material (poses included), I believe we have no problem with it. User:ShardofTruth and User:Neumannz would be more up to date."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:34, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
- Well, they're in neutral poses mostly matching the current ones, unfortunately the models I have don't have animations. I'll upload them, if they're unsuited feel free to revert the files, I understand. DoreikuKuroofangu 21:59, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

Kanji and Japname
Could you explain a few things about using japname with Kanji? You said japname for kanji should be kanji pronunciation, could you tell me why? Also, some pages, like Two Become One or most of the synthesis materials do have the translation, why is it allowed on those pages? Some KHD weapon pages have the nihongo template with the literal translation while using the pronunciation in the infobox, like Reticence for example. Should these be removed? TheSilentHero 17:14, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- At least for Xaldin and ...doododoo, I wanna say Lexaeus's weapons, the original consensus was that it was because the theme of the weapon names is plainly to represent an archaic or poetic use of Japanese (or possibly Chinese, in Xaldin's case). Thus, the best way to represent the tone of the names was to give the pronunciation, to emphasize this theme. For the Keyblades, that's less apparent, as they are written in a grammatical, non-poetic fashion. Meanwhile, Zexion and Marluxia's weapons are written in plain Japanese, without being English-ized by being written in katakana like most items. Still, I see your point that the Oathkeeper, Oblivion, and Two Become One also have a standout theme-naming going on. Perhaps a good compromise would be to move the japname, romaji, and katakana parameters down into the main infobox, as we do with Enemies.
- Also, we could stand to compress the Keyblade navboxes. I understand how the lines are sorted, but it isn't doing so great visually."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:51, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- I see. In that case, I won't add translations to those weapons, than. I think moving the romaji to the infobox is a bad idea, as there isn't a lot of space for it, due to the keychain images. It may even look better if we took the katakana and japname out of the infobox.
- Do you mean Template:KeybladeS? It does have a lot of white space. Should we still separate by game, because there are only three 1.5 RECOM Keyblades. TheSilentHero 17:39, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
- I meant moving the romaji and japname and katakana down to the main infobox, as on the Enemy template. For S, yes, I agree."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 02:29, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- That could work. Do you think it's a good idea to merge all the Keyblade infoboxes into one template? TheSilentHero 15:15, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
- No, because of Days."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:41, 17 May 2015 (UTC)

Attack name issue solution idea
What if instead of listing and describing boss abilities according to their "names͵" we made tables with .gifs of each attack (no names) and then corresponding descriptions? I'll make a model in my sandbox later and link you to it so you can see what I'm thinking of. Basically, my idea eliminates the need to list attack names all together. - Eternal Nothingness XIII 19:51, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- Of course, the descriptions could be considered irrelevant when paired with images that show the attacks, now that I think about it. Still, I'll let you see my model and tell me what you think. - Eternal Nothingness XIII 19:56, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
InfoKeyKHX
About my draft for the template, are you done making edits to it? You said you wanted thing not shifting around between tabs, but my version has less shifting than yours. Here's my version, compared to your version. I don't know if you were still planning on editing it, but I don't know how to make it shift around less.
EDIT: I also finished changing the japanese placement in the weapon templates. Would you mind adding/checking the romaji on the weapons that use kanji (Lances, Axeswords, etc.)?
TheSilentHero 16:56, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
- I'm still trying to fiddle with it, sorry. If you can get it to 0 shifting, that's what I'm playing around with right now."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:17, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
One more question regarding the poetic kanji names. Should we put the romaji under romaji or japanese? If we put it under romaji, people might think the kanji means the English name, but if we put it under japanese, we don't have the romaji. Maybe it would be better to create an extra slot with romaji/japanese or something (for the 358 template only). What do you think? TheSilentHero 17:17, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
- I would list the same name under both romaji and japanese, using either a lit. or ruby in the japanese to provide the meaning."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:44, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
Attack names
I saw you changed ロウソク from Candle to Rousoku on the Trick Ghost page. I assume this is because it is a japanese word written in katakana, but it makes a lot of attacks sound strange. Can't we just use the English word for it? (The games do this. For example, they use Spike instead of Toge for トゲ.) Also, what is a better translation for 回転, Rotate or Spin? TheSilentHero 12:31, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
- I'm a bit conflicted about doing it that way, because the Japanese word is often intentional -- see for instance the Sye part of the Drill Sye's name (and as a sidenote, I'm not especially comfortable with saying that the way that 3D and the HD games were localized is the way it "should" be done, because of the huge amounts of inconsistency and Engrish). There's also stuff where the attack's name could be referring to a specific Japanese word, like a Kendo technique, and if we give the literal translation we're losing a good bit of meaning. I see the point of literalizing the kanji for these enemy attacks, since most of them are using plain Japanese, but for stuff like "toge" in katakana, it seems that they wanted specifically that word, or they would have used the kanji (刺) -- although for certain katakana constructions, the katakana is the standard way to write that word, even when it's not being singled out as "special".
- Basically, we need to look through the attacks and figure out whether they are using kanji (like with the Lances) or katakana (as with Trick Ghost) to signify "should remain Japanese pronunciation" words, and then stick with that. At this point, I'm not sure which they're using, but it does seem like they're using that paradigm."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:08, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
- "回転" -- rotate seems to be the most accurate translation of the word on its own, but it really depends on the context. "Spin" could be an appropriate translation in the right situation."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:10, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
- I see. I'll use the japanese pronunciation for those katakana words, then. If you want to help out, here's a list of Ultimania attacks and descriptions Ultima Spark gave me. TheSilentHero 16:59, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

So, thanks to a temporary subscription/app download, I have access to a [complete] scanned version of the BradyGames Kingdom Hearts guide. While the book is only available on my phone, I can still take screenshots and do my best to get quality images/"stuff." I'm not sure how long I'll have access to this so while I still have the ability, is there anything you can think of that we need screenshots of/information on taken from the guide? Xion4ever 00:24, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Can't think of anything at the mo."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:25, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Caption clarification
I see you removing the captions I added to the gifs on those command pages. To clarify, in which situations do we want captions? Pages like Zantetsuken have long and detailed ones, while others like Stop Raid have brief ones similar to the ones I added. Chitalian8 02:01, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
Second thing, in the case of something like Inverse Burst, is it necessary to have that caption even though the technique is already described in the Mechanics section? Chitalian8 02:09, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
Opinion
Hi, Kryten. Since you're one of our bcrats, I was wondering if you can please give your opinion on this when you have time? Thanks you. :)--NinjaSheik 23:02, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

KHX [chi] synthesis materials sorting
|
- The (loose) groups I'm seeing:
- Mythril (Definitely can do group article)
- Orichalcum (Definitely can do group article)
- Adamant
- Ores - Copper, Iron, Silver, Gold
- Herbal, Forest, Swamp
- Burned stuff
- Strange/White Flower
- Piece of Candy
- Teardrops
- Agrabah jewelry
- Underworld items
- Gems (Definitely can do group article)
- Kupo (Definitely can do group article)
I'm not sure I'd do any more grouping than a "see also" with other items with the same shape. I think merging Adamant with Adamantite, as has been done, is fine, but for the rest...I'd honestly suggest either single articles for each material, or an article that covers all of the synthesis materials excluding the ones that already have legacy articles."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." Completely forgot
I have completely forgotten what our protocol (if you can call it that) is when two users share an IP address. At what point do we consider it sockpuppetting? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 13:39, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

Absent Silhouette edit
I understand why you removed the [[Castle Oblivion|11th Floor]] link, but what policy is against linking to Cave of the Dead: Inner Chamber and Isla de Muerta: Rock Face? They are the official names as seen in KHWiki talk:Project World. TheSilentHero 06:49, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
Invitation to Nothingness
Although I've unfortunately lost my KHII guidebook, I distinctly remember Invitation to Nothingness being the name they had there. Of course, BradyGames guides aren't exactly canon sources, but does that still count as a fanon term? Chitalian8 13:23, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
- The Bradygames term would be the official localization, so it's fine. Can we add a cite (informal hidden cite is fine) to that?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:02, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

Overreacted
We weren't having a fight. At least I wasn't in. He just barged in and said I insulted and attacked him - I mean, I even asked him to specifically quote where I did that and he obviously couldn't. :| As for why the image is "better", we always use NA logos as the final page images. This the NA logo, and it's the exact same resolution as the one we've had up until now. In fact, I resized it specifically do that resolution to get rid of any potential errors I might've made while rendering it. It's peeeeeefect! --Webber22 (talk) 14:18, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
Xemnas battle render
That's not a reason, we use KHDays renders for the members who appeared in Castle Oblivion for example, although their battles were in Re:CoM, and not in Days, because it's more likely that we use the most recent renders for them, and so for Xemnas ! -- BraviDunno 06:09, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- Most of the other KH2 org members use their KH2 art. Xigbar and Saix provide the KHD art as an alternate image, although I'm not convinced that's required. The character article should use the most recent image, yes, but the boss article should depict the character that is actually fought."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:14, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- And the character actually fought is still the same. KH Re:CoM members use their KHD arts and not their Re:CoM. Why ? Because it's their most recent render ! Besides the characters in the KH2 and Days arts don't physically change, and as we should use their most recent render, we should use their KHD ones. Xemnas is also fought in KH3D, so we should definetly use the KHD render for him, and not make one KH2 tab with his KH2 render and a KH3D tab with his KHD render (what?) because, like I said, he doesn't change physically, and plus this render is in better quality. -- BraviDunno 16:01, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, so the problem is that you are applying the most recent render rule without examining why it's in place for certain articles. Without that reasoning, you're not demonstrating why the KHD images are more useful, you're demonstrating that they're not unacceptable. So, to go into the philosophy behind image choice:
- Character pages use most recent render because they generally only have one image in the lead, and their most recent image both encapsulates the current history of the character (as portrayed in their plot synopsis) and is the most easily recognized by readers coming to the wiki for information on new games. Thus, using the most recent render best embodies the totality of the article and best advertises the page to readers.
- Boss pages have neither of those concerns. The focus of the page, and the infoboxes, is to provide concrete information on discrete events, and the infobox can have a multitude of images as necessary to identify the subject of the boss battle. Readers will be coming to the article for information on how to take down a specific target. Thus, as a general rule, using the image/render of the target from the game in question best serves their needs. While the Organization members do not differ drastically from image to image, the quality of the images is not much different, and there is no pressing need to replace the image for one that is "newer" -- indeed, the Saix infobox uses the in-game render of Saix, in all its blockiness, to accurately represent what the boss looks like. The point of the Game: articles isn't to be pretty, it is to be accurate.
- I hope this clears up why we use most recent render in character articles, but specific render in game: articles."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:45, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- There is also Xemnas who appears in KH3D, so his KH2 render doesn't fit. -- BraviDunno 21:31, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
- Then we can add another image tab for his KH3D appearance. It's an easy fix."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 00:36, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
- A KHDays render for KH3D ?! As he doesn't change physically from both games, except the face, we should simply put the days render instead of the KH2 one, and not add another tab, that would be a bit silly to add a tab for a character who doesn't change physically from two games... -- BraviDunno 10:00, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
- If there's no difference between the images, then there's no need for the KHD image. If there's a difference, then we should use the game-specific renders with multiple tabs. Choose."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:22, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
- No, there isn't no need, because KHD renders are more recent than the KH2 ones, and since we prefer to put the most recent render, we should put the KHD one.-- BraviDunno 17:37, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
- You are totally ignoring the explanation for why we prefer to do that for character articles. There's no need to slavishly follow a rule designed for a different situation, and you haven't demonstrated at all why the KHD image is a better fit for this context. If you wish to take this up with the community on a forum or the article talk page, feel free (remember to link to this thread), but I'm really not interested in continuing this discussion if you're just going to ignore everything I'm trying to explain."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:10, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

That
Oh! I honestly didn't know that was you at first, but since we're talking about it....yeah! I do have something to say. :< I feel you make too many unnecessary changes and complications - or at the very least, you consider them. Honorifics aren't a part of someone's name unless they are titles or ranks. Like a doctor, or a British aristocrat - and even that latter water can be a bit murky. Then was also your talk of the "KH3 base engine" which, frankly, ended up with you spiraling all over the place. We're supposed to be all about factual info, but you sometimes complicate things unnecessarily that just equals more work for everyone. So, I just want you to take a breath, take a look at the wiki as a whole. Then, dig deep into yourself. With yourself. For yourself! Don't dig too deep though, because that's...uh, that's what they call a bad acid trip. Once you do, look at a page that needs editing or clean up, then ponder the perfect balance between simplicity of words with complete accuracy. Push aside your own personal sense of aesthetics! In fact, no aesthetics! It's decoration. And decorations always come last. If a certain decoration doesn't mesh well with a particular word, name, sentence - whatever - then spit at it! Listen to this song. Remember. Something being, or sounding, pretty is the very last thing that needs to be considered. And in some cases, it's not even a consideration. --Webber22 (talk) 22:30, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

Rockshatter
I don't think it was in any version of CoM, I checked the Bradygames guide and it's not mentioned there and it's also not in the CoM Ultimania either. --ShardofTruth 18:21, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
- If you are talking about Ansem's Dark Rush, then, in-game, it's really called Rockshatter, I checked. Sorry Kryten for answering in your place. -- BraviDunno 20:20, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
- In the English game, yes. In the Japanese game, no, which was what I was trying to confirm."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:42, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry to interrupt, but I found a video of English COM where Ansem's Sleight is called "Dark Rush". ([7] Around 1:40). Also, in the comments they mentioned his regular attacks are reversed; the red cards cause the shockwave and the blue card make the guardian punch. TheSilentHero 14:03, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Aero Element
Where exactly is it called this? I know KHII has Fire Element and stuff, but Aero doesn't appear in that game. TheSilentHero 21:44, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- Does KH use that "power of X" thing instead? I may have mixed those up. If that's the case, the article should use "Power of X", with that being a redirect to Aero. And in fact, not using a piped link allows us to track down all of the articles using the erroneous "Aero Element" terminology and correct them. Very, very rarely should we use a piped link; primarily to make parsers invisible, really."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 23:04, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

This chick

Hi Khwiki.com team,
My name is Pauline and I represent PubGalaxy – the publisher-centric platform, which monetizes some of the world's leading publishers, including PhoneArena (20m visits), TV.com (20m visits), ViralNova (6m visits), and Chess.com (18m visits), as well as gaming-related properties similar to yours, such as Hearthstoneplayers.com and Csgostash.com. Currently, we're handling the programmatic ad sales of 250+ publishing partners across various verticals, trading over 13 billion ad impressions per month. Our web & mobile monetization solution combines hand-picked programmatic & traditional demand, allowing us to create an individual setup for each property, based on constant human optimization and our publishers' preferences. This approach results in Net CPM rates of $1.50-$3.00 for US/UK/CA inventory and $0.60-$1.00 for international traffic. We're currently looking to expand our partnership portfolio and I think that Кhwiki.com would be a great fit. I'd be happy to explore this opportunity over email or schedule a quick phone / Skype call over the next couple of business days. Thanks, Pauline ColdAsFire 14:51, 7 December 2015 (UTC)

Formula for Transport to Remembrance
Since the enemies in the Cavern of Remembrance reappear by exiting and re-entering a room, you just need to re-enter the rooms and keep track of which enemies appear. After a while you'll get used to how this works and you can track which Nobodies appear. Occasionally I had to keep changing it a specific group because I was hunting Sorcerers to farm Twilight Crystals (As they became more scarce in the World That Never Was after the main game was over when I beat Xemnas. I also used as the final part of my training to Level 99 so it was helped me understand this. If you follow my advice then it can help prove this. I was also thinking if necessary it might make it easier to list which Nobodies are part of which group. In a sense this is also similar to the Nobodies that appear in Land of Dragons, Port Royal, and Beast's Castle in a certain place instead of the usual heartless enemies which I did notice during my Item collecting. -Adv193 (talk) 02:32, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
Ruler of the Sky: Story/Design
KrytenKoro, I noticed that a few hours ago you reverted an edit I made to the Story and Design sections of the article on the Ruler of the Sky. I just wanted to explain some of the reasoning behind what I was trying to accomplish with my edit. If you reexamine my edit, you will find that the "pertinent info on Pete" was not deleted, but merely placed after the information on Hook and Smee. I noticed that the previous version confused the ordering of events in Mission 78: although Pete appears after Hook releases the Ruler of the Sky during the mission, the previous version mentions Pete arriving "as Roxas arrives in Neverland". My objective was to reword the paragraph to provide a more logical ordering in the context of the mission. I recognize that this is a relatively minor thing to discuss; nevertheless, I hope you will give my reasons your careful consideration, and I thank you for your edit summary. Thank you, DAnonymous318 DAnonymous318 (talk) 00:29, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

Yeah. I'm scrapping it - unless you still want the stuff I made and nothing else, and just make a page for a day and nothing else... Turns out, the KH community is rather bone dry when it comes to creativity! Found two guys on devArt, but with them it was just one bloody excuse after another. One of them, I'm certain, pilfered his stuff from someone else after everything! Invi's Keyblade
I understand that is the format we use for our other articles, but is there a way we could make the one for Invi's Keyblade less redundant-sounding? - Eternal Nothingness XIII 16:00, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
- If you can figure out a way to communicate:
- It's the default Keychain
- It's a form of Foreteller Invi's Keyblade
- It appears in KHX
- And make sure that standard applies to all the other default form Keyblades, then go ahead. We should also add the nameless template to the Foreteller Keyblades, since they don't have official names."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 16:06, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

i don't think so not all the raid bosses has shrouding dark cloud theme, I played that app and I have heard a different theme when fighting Guard Armor Ω. so if you have that app, you should play it and find out about the unchained raid bosses Kunoichi101 (talk) 19:42, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_yxabioQq0 hear this theme, this is the raid battle of Guard Armor Omega, not the original Guard Armor. also, this theme for that battle is The Deep End in KH. hear it and weep, hope you now understand. Kunoichi101 (talk) 05:37, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
unless you played that game, you should have played the Omega Raid Boss version. that way, you would have known that this theme wasn't Shrouding Dark Cloud Theme in the omega boss raid. Organization retreats
I know it's about a month late to follow up on those clarifications you made about the Organization members retreating instead of fading back to the past, but let me ask you this: how are we so sure the Master Xehanort, Xigbar and Saïx we see at the end of KH3D were not from the past? When we see Braig in the extra Re:coded cutscene in HD 2.5 Remix, he looks exactly like he did when he lost his heart, and then he just suddenly looks like he does as Xigbar in KH3D. It doesn't discount the possibility that yes, he did change in appearance, but I find it doubtful because that change occurred over the course of 9 or 10 years. Either he only became "half-Xehanort" and then stopped completely, or the process was extremely slow.
Simply put, the changes don't work for me because they seem like they're fan-given explanations. I get the same feeling when I read the "explanation" that Xion turned against Roxas because she was driven insane at the revelation of being his copy, when she was really just reprogrammed by Xemnas. So unless we can verify that's exactly how it happened, it's not going to sit right with me just leaving it like that. 100.12.145.78 16:57, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

KH HD 2.8 Release date
Though the exact date is unknown it is aimed for a worldwide launch this December. Here is the source http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2016-06-08/kingdom-hearts-hd-2.8-e3-trailer-reveals-december-worldwide-launch/.102976 -Adv193 (talk) 00:19, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Xehanort, Xigbar, Saix
We will see. As far as I know, Xehanort, Xigbar and Saix traveled through time anyway as a precaution for the backup plan's backup plan, just to ensure that there were 13 Xehanorts in the end. Also, I am fully aware Xion wasn't driven insane. It's just insane that it's how that was once written on either this Wiki or the other for a time, when we had nothing but a Japanese release to go by. 100.12.145.78 02:16, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I can't make a Facebook account. My uncles don't like or trust social sites like that and have made sure that I can't access any Facebook page without getting some kind of error. - Okay. The reason we use Facebook is because it provides an always-on messenger -- you can use it even when you're in a raid, and it gives you notifications when there's new messages. Messengers that provide similar features will work for the party. AndroIRC is an app that allows you to access an IRC chatroom -- it doesn't save any personal info about you, you can even change your name visit to visit, it's as anonymous as you want it to be. It doesn't have the chatheads feature that makes Facebook Messenger so appealing, but it would still be usable, and we can set up a private chatroom for the party that only the party has the passwords too. Would something like that meet your uncles' requirements?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 12:54, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

Ephemera problem
One of your staff members locked the Ephemera page for reasons that make no sense. According to him, Johnston voicing him wasn't confirmed...even though he went out on twitter to do just that. According to NinjaShiek, confirmations ONLY come in the form of a single three-letter word: Yes. Reading comprehension, or context apparently don't have anything to do with it... He now edited in HIS version, and locked the page. Furthermore, I can't even discuss this with him because HE LOCKED HIS OWN TALK PAGE. What the fuck? --68.200.112.142 01:03, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
I started a discussion on Emphermera's page. Please go there. I protected to avoid editing warring.--NinjaSheik 01:12, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
Ok
I wouldn't have gotten anywhere, and you know that. There was the confirmation, plain as day, and he wouldn't take it even if I shoved it down his throat. That's...probably why you made the point instead, right? Moderators like that guy are a real problem since nobody can get any work done. It's a pain to have to ask you every single time I want to make even the smallest of edits that he personally doesn't like, even IF it's 100% correct. --68.200.112.142 18:46, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

Blanking out
I understand that. What sort of jumps at me is that....blanking out looks to be the "go-to solution", rather than citing, or at least looking for a source. I mean....it kinda does a disservice to the whole point of this being a wiki, right? --Ignis (talk) 22:09, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
- Well of course I don't want you guys turning into....well, Gawker! Correct information definitely beats the latest scoops! But what I'm saying is....if it's blanked out, then look for verifiable, legit reasons to un-blank it. Interviews, videos, whatever. The longer something is blanked out, the more reason to look for those sources instead of ignoring it. --Ignis (talk) 05:26, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
Oh, PS! I made a forum topic about this, but.....no one seems to read those things. Anyway, the logos for DDD HD and Back Cover need to be updated - the official NA website now has transparent logos sans the japanese. They're a tiny bit smaller in resolution than the ones here, but...you know, official NA logos! Now, I can't update them since I can overwrite image files yet, so I simply uploaded new ones and changed those on the pages. You'll see them since they have the exact same file name + NA at the end. --Ignis (talk) 05:29, 7 July 2016 (UTC)

HD images
Hello! Sorry I was away for a few days. I....actually just bought a new house lol. In Florida! You know. It's the edge of the map, with monsters and rednecks and alligators and snapping turtles. Anyway, as for the HD images, I'll get to working on the Japanese versions for the Command Styles! As for your request for Rockbreaker and Thunderbolt....yes and no. I can do Rockbreaker with the volcano, no problem. The Thunderbolt one is...more complicated. It's as Shard explained, these aren't really static images that you put together like a HUD - they're really bits and pieces of whole animations. And as a result, not all the necessary pieces for the animations are included in the packs Shard provides (for example...see that big swoosh effect on Sky Climber? I had to remake that almost from scratch using a generic lens flare on google!). With Thunderbolt, the yellow flash across the green is one such effect - they're probably using a super simple transparent highlight and just coding it to those parameters - much like how that big green HP gauge is really just 9 different colored pixels stretched out across the screen. I can certainly give it a try, but I can't guaranteed its...adherence to authenticity. --Ignis (talk) 03:13, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
- Oh. I'm not super keen on having images that aren't ripped directly from the material, so definitely don't do it for Thunderbolt, and I'm not sure how I feel about Sky Climber, either."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:12, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
Gravity Break
The following "calculations" are made after: recording 60 fps footage of an emulator running at 60 fps; importing this video in MAGIX Video deluxe 2015 Premium; counting each frame from the instant the attack connects with the enemy (the "closed" sign in olympus coliseum) to the instant where sora starts to move backwards while pulling the left analog stick back. So I'm not calculating how many frames is long a finisher from the instant it connects (I'm not calculating the animations), I'm calculating how many seconds does it take to recover from a finisher. Each finisher is recorded with the same settings on both the recorder and the video editor.
Remember, since this is recorded footage at 60fps, 60 frames = 1 second
Gravity Break takes 32 frames Blitz takes 52 frames Normal Finisher takes 55 frames Stun Impact takes 63 frames Zantetsuken takes 67 frames Ripple Drive takes 70 frames
Basically, Gravity Break takes half a second to allow you to move out of the way, while the others take between 50 and 70 frames (that's a second more or less).
Vas0sky (talk) 11:46, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- That's amazing! Can you post that info to the respective articles?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 12:23, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- Actually the precise number of frames for each animation is the exact half since the game was recorded at 60fps but it runs at 30. I'll edit and put the seconds in brackets.

Command Menus
This is just a rough experiment, but clicky here! This is just an experiment - the real thing is gonna take a good bit of time and work to re-compile 100% as it shows in-game, but I was wondering, you think it's a good idea to upload the world menus eventually? --Ignis (talk) 05:07, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Localization
I remember having a discussion somewhere where we agreed that the HD remakes don't count as most recent localization, thus making Days the most recent for the Twilight Town areas. Also, there are several pages, like Rabid Dog and Crescendo that have gotten a different name in more recent games (Days and Unchained). Should those be moved? And what about the Card Soldiers? They are called Card Soldier in every game except Unchained, which has terrible localization in my opinion, so should that be moved, too? TheSilentHero 11:58, 31 July 2016 (UTC)
- I am remembering that discussion differently, so you should look into that, but either way it needs to be consistent.
- All of the games have pretty inconsistent localizations. Unchained supersedes all the previous games."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:39, 31 July 2016 (UTC)

Overdid it a bit...
So! I made some changes to my front page... Longer short of it, when Shard put up ALL the assets and textures from KH2 (and I mean ALL), I got a little excited and distracted and made....that. Well, those. Sooo....any potential uses for those Limit Break thingies in the future? --Ignis (talk) 03:42, 14 August 2016 (UTC)
- Are those...within the game code? If so, absolutely add them to the removed content page. If not, I'm sure we could find a place for them on a later April Fools thing.
- God, Days could have been so much better..."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:28, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
- The details in Critical Snipe are a bit hard to make out, tho, not sure if that's intentional."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:29, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
- Lol, nope lol. I just made them for the hell of it. :P Spontaneous thingy. And yeah...Days could have been much, much better. At least some fans have taken to remaking it. But worry not! ...They already scrapped it. ;) Have you honestly ever heard of a single good KH fangame lol? --Ignis (talk) 02:08, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
Nothing major, but I added three new navigation templates for the HD compilations. All they do is link directly to their respective games, and look just a little bit neater. Rather than looking for specific entries from the remixes in the admittedly huge game series nav template, among re-releases and remakes and....other stuff, they'll have all three games right at the top. The nav templates will only be visible on the HD compilation pages. --Ignis (talk) 04:27, 14 August 2016 (UTC)
- Don't they just do what the lead does? I'm confused."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:30, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
Merry....whatever! Something or other.
I was without internet most of the day, with a little bit too much free time on my hands. Unfortunately, I forgot to cap a few screenshots to compile some command menus. BUT! I did at least bring my Macbook, which leads me to this mad science experiment. I made this a while ago and posted it on dA and KHInsider, but some jackass took it and claimed it as his own (even though I asked for no credit....), so down it went! Anyway, I don't know what you'll do with it lol. I just get the feeling you might actually have a use for it unlike most folks. Or...at least that's the impression you gave me. --Ignis (talk) 02:41, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- It would definitely be good for April. I'm just...so incredibly disappointed by everything that Days is, I was so in love with the idea, even up to buying the guide, until I actually started playing it. I never understood the love for the story everyone has...erg."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 03:10, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- Well...this is just my opinion, but maybe you might find something in it lol. But, doesn't the story of Days kind of strike as....something you might find on Fanfiction.net? I mean, it explores the friendship of Roxas and Axel. One that just kind of...fires up on all four, and just doesn't feel earned. With them eating ice cream every day. And poof! A fourteenth member appears! She's a girl! With a keyblade! And looks just like Kairi! And she manages to become bestest buddies with those two lovers, er, I mean friends just like that! And of course, there's a central conflict that ultimately goes nowhere....leading up to convenient amnesiac results that tie into KH2, yet somehow get touched upon in later entries. I mean, it just reads like a fanfiction, doesn't it? And that's also why, I guess, a lot of people like it. It's a scenario that they fantasized about, and it's been realized. Even if they don't realize it. I kind of know that because....I'm in a similar boat lol. I liked it during my first playthrough. :3 But in subsequent plays, the flaws - my own included, started showing up like hangnails. I still don't detest it quite as much as DDD, so it has that going for it lol. --Ignis (talk) 03:25, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, exactly. The story is just so egregiously..erg. And the gameplay...there's some good ideas, like having limit breaks limited to HP, and the panel system, but combos suck ass, the secret boss is boring as fuck, the game is explicitly antagonistic to completionism, and magic is even more absurdly rationed than in KH2. Plus, it has one of the most absurd amounts of grinding necessary for maxing levels in any KH (or poss. even FF) game -- you have to beat the final boss 100 times, each time with only 1 HP, to move up one level near the end. If you want to get from having obtained everything in game to getting LV 100, you have to beat him over 1000 times. That's...what is the point of having levels go that high if you literally can't use them against anything else, and it requires full days of grinding after completing everything else? At best, maxing strength in a game shouldn't take much longer after completing the main game challenges, otherwise there's no point to it.
- Basically, Days was just straight up a chore to play (continues to be a chore due to my completionism), and the story was not nearly enough to save it. Establishing that at no point in his life was Roxas an interesting anti-hero that would require Sora to actually have a conflict about his identity was like a kick in the stomach. (Fuck, why tease us with this, CoM, and KH2 Axel if they're never going to follow up on it?)"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:48, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- Dayum lol. You....feel a lot more strongly about it as I do. XD The only other games I have that antagonistic relationship with are like...Star Ocean 3, Xenosaga 2, and I dunno, Final Fantasy III I guess (the DS one!). I think Nomura is just generally a very crappy writer who's in love with his own handwriting, yet we keep buying and playing and liking his stuff. And it's more than a guilty pleasure because, well...we're here. On a wiki all about it lol. Sooo...I think that's what they call a paradox! In the end, it's all about having fun. And I have fun mindlessly killing cute evil critters and finding out what the next great ass-pull is! --Ignis (talk) 20:09, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- I mean, I have no illusions about the quality of the story. I like the gameplay, mostly, and the fundamental aesthetic of "what Disney characters' lives are like when not on camera". That's why I could give half a wet shit about the FF characters -- with fifteen different parts of FF7 alone, we know enough about those characters."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:49, 22 August 2016 (UTC)

Done
Kingdom Hearts II command menus are all done. Took a bit longer than I would have liked, but it is what it is. All that's left is the "irregular" menus, like the final battle sidecar and other such thingies. --Ignis (talk) 17:16, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
- Now, as far as I can see, it's 100% done. :) All the Command Menus are up - save for character specific ones, like Mickey or Zexion since I wouldn't know where to put those just yet. I also saw that a couple of things were outdated in the Gauges page, so I went ahead and fixed them up. Three of them though, I've taken a few liberties with. The most obvious are the Dream Drop Distance gauges. I've uploaded HD versions....but how!? Well...lol, let's just say it was a lot of work. Using the gameplay demo footage as a basis in conjunction with all the assets Shard uploaded from throughout all the HD games, I managed to recreate the stuff with about 99% accuracy (compare for yourself!). As for Unchained, I saw that the old one was kind of crappy looking - like it was cropped out from a blurry public release screenshot. So...I just cropped one out from my own iPad! XD You see? It's got my avatar on it. He's very cool and handsome. And of course, the translation's been tweaked too - I noticed that no one changed it from "Ability" to "Special" like it's supposed to be. So with that....what's left lol? Anything else I need to recreate or compile? --Ignis (talk) 04:42, 12 September 2016 (UTC)

Underworld
Do you know which mission has like....the largest explorable amount of the Underworld? --Ignis (talk) 23:30, 23 September 2016 (UTC)
It's done. I'm gonna be straight with you lol. This looks like ass. It was also a bit of a pain to make - considering I used up all my daily AP just to traverse the world to make sure I got every nook and cranny, when there weren't a whole lot of them. And, honestly, I don't see a whole lot of point in it. Unchained is practically Kingdom Hearts on rails - just follow the pretty arrow. And the individual missions are also extremely short - I just don't see much of a point in making maps for it. :/ --Ignis (talk) 00:47, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, I want to apologize straightoff. When I said subway paths, I meant connecting one map to another, basically in place of the blue arrows in-game. All the images for areas available in the English game are on the unchained wiki already, so I'm sorry that the miscommunication made you use up your AP.'
- That being said, I definitely appreciate this, and if you're willing to continue with a much smaller task, I'd be very grateful. Again, sorry for the miscommunication."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:27, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
- Lol, you owe me a 100 jewels. :P But it's alright. As you can see, it's impossible to directly connect the areas into one giant world because of the way they're drawn, but I did what I could. The subway map! As for the rest of them, ugh lol - it IS a pain, but I'll get around to them I suppose lol. I gotta wrap up the minimaps for here first though - I've procrastinated the hell out of it since I'm attempting to get Legend in Hearthstone. :P Rank 3 - SO CLOSE!!! --Ignis (talk) 18:06, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
Screenshots
Hey. I've hit a bit of a speedbump with the minimaps. Shard and I are brainstorming as how to go about it, but for the moment I'm all disheartened lol. I was thinking of replacing some screenshots we have here with high quality HD versions. We've got a bunch of story and gameplay ones we need to swap out. GIFs, though, are another matter entirely. --Ignis (talk) 16:25, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- Sure. I'd like us to have a screenshot or concept art for every room, anyway."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:13, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

Keyblade
Hey, got a quick question....though a weird one lol. I can't remember from WHERE, it was around when I first made my account and started doing stuff, I read either on your talk page, or some other discussion somewhere, about the series icon status and the Keyblade article. I can't remember cause it wasn't important then lol, but I think that the Keyblade article is the one page that's the exception to the "not until the game's out" rule for series icons, since it's the most recognizable and universal element in the franchise. Can you confirm this? --Ignis (talk) 21:12, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

Site Theme
Honest question cause I don't want to hammer the issue any further, but do you guys have any plans to change the site theme or not? Cause...it kinda looks like no one gives a shit lol. --Ignis (talk) 03:37, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- I, personally, do not. I have much bigger things to deal with in real life and on basic day-to-day maintenance, and will likely be leaving the wiki entirely soon, or at least stepping down as a staff member. I abdicate all authority in choosing what theme we go with -- I'll accept whatever the rest of the community decides."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:10, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- That's a problem lol, because as I said, the rest of the community doesn't seem to give a toss about anything. Site might even be officially dead by the time 2.8 is out seeing as there's so little activity. Having a stagnating front page doesn't exactly help. --Ignis (talk) 17:28, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
- If you'd like to start a forum requesting new staff elections and other drives, you have my official blessing. I'm at the part of my life where khwiki has to be a lesser priority or I end up ruining everything."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:45, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

- Sorry to butt in, but here's my two cents: No one really cares about the theme because A.) It's a lot of work to go make the coding just to get it up and B.) Many users just agree with whatever the rest of community likes. I'm the same way. The theme isn't that important. I don't know why we have to keep changing it, considering how tedious the process it.--NinjaSheik 21:14, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
- Then I'll work on it, that way the tedium won't fall on anyone else. I'm pretty good with that sort of stuff anyway. You guys vote on it, and I'll work on it. Or if you don't care enough, I'll change it depending on what's appropriate: For example, this month is a holiday theme, next month it'll be 2.8. Fair enough? Besides, I need something to make myself useful lol, with all the graphic stuff taken care of for now. --Ignis (talk) 22:25, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

Unchained Party
Oi. What the heck just happened? I just got kicked out of the party for no rhyme or reason... --Ignis (talk) 07:41, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
Okay, I just read the little impromptu in-game notice in the chat log, so I'm gonna have to let off a wee bit of steam here. I don't know if this was your decision Kryten, but since you're the one who invited me, this is about the only place where I can say something. I apologize if you had nothing to do with any of this. So, without further ado: 1-Screw you. To whoever was behind this bullshit. 2-"Inactive" my ass. I was one of the most active members in the party, always participating in weekend and event raids and always sharing whatever medals were being asked for at the time. So don't dare give me that crap. 3-There's KIND OF a rather big storm hitting the entire southern-east coast right about now... Perhaps it never occurred to you that the reason why I wasn't on most of the day today was because I got disconnected for a good long while? Ever thunked of that? You can go ahead and send me an invite to rejoin the party - the MAIN one. An apology would be nice as well. And seeing as I already got an invite to a party with a higher ranking than ours did, I'd be partial to some Lindt milk chocolate truffles along with that apology... --Ignis (talk) 08:02, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
P.S. I noticed ANOTHER member who was extremely active (Ace) also ended up on the "B Team". Do something about that as well. --Ignis (talk) 08:04, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- The reason you were moved to the secondary party is that you refuse to use Messenger, or any other chat app, not because you were inactive. And for the record, this was a shared decision from the entire (remaining) party. TheSilentHero 11:09, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- You mean along with the rest of the party? NO ONE was using anything but the in-game chat. Well, end of discussion then. I won't argue it. You've got my player ID (it's on my page!). You're more than welcome to look up the party that just recruited me. Good luck with your Messenger. --Ignis (talk) 16:57, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- You can't possibly know who is or isn't using Messenger, because you're not in the chat. But I do wish you good luck in your new party. TheSilentHero 18:03, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- Dude, there was like 15 people who outright stated in the in-game chat that they wouldn't use Kik... And thinking on it, the B Team group DID have like 7 people in it. Did you seriously boot out 15 people over an experiment that won't last longer than a week? --Ignis (talk) 18:14, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- First of all, we're not even using Kik, that was an alternative chat app that we wanted to try for those who didn't have a fb account, but that's not needed anymore. Second of all, there were way less than 15 people not using Messenger in the party. Third, we didn't only move the players who didn't want to use Messenger, but also the ones that were less active. This was an idea that came up in the in-game chat to split the party in a competitive and casual party. And finally, I don't know why you think this is "an experiment that won't last longer than a week", because we've been using the Messenger chat since the start of the game. TheSilentHero 18:28, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- Dude, comon. Don't fib. I was in the "casual party" for about five minutes and I took a look at the chat. But once again, it doesn't matter. Found myself a new group, one that's a bit more appreciative and less demanding. Certainly helps that they're ranked 15th overall. And if the raids today alone are any indicator, just might hit the Top 5 in Vulpes this week. :< And yes, I am totally gloating. I only do that when someone upsets me or hurts my feelings. --Ignis (talk) 18:58, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- The party made one rule for what was required to stay in the party, and gave you two weeks to accomplish it. You, and no one else, made the choice for you to not respect that rule. Excuses will not change that you were given a specific request and a specific deadline. Honestly, I'm a bit confused what else you expected to happen when the party said "this is the requirement to remain in the party", and you responded "not doing that"...because to anyone, that would seem like you very firmly stating you did not wish to remain in the party."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro)

- Because I along with a couple of other members made a rather compelling argument how utterly unnecessary it was. My mistake in thinking what we had to say mattered worth a damn. It's really your loss, not mine. If you're really willing to boot people out over something hilariously insignificant, there are plenty of options out there for the rest of us! --Ignis (talk) 18:47, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
- Dude, own your choices. We didn't boot anyone. The people in the KHWV party are the ones who don't want to play with people not using Messenger. The people in the party we created for you were the ones who don't want to use Messenger. We took pains to make sure that nobody was shifted out of one party until there was a party setup for them to move to. No, nobody owes you being in your party, and if they let you know what their requirements are for being in the same party as you and you don't like those requirements, that's equivalent to saying you want them in a different party from you. As you've said, you're much happier with your new party, so congratulations, everybody is exactly where they want to be."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:56, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

"ou" versus "ō"
Hey, I seem to be noticing おう rendered as ou an awful lot. Is that simply how we're doing it? I can't find any Japanese MOS guidelines anywhere (if you wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction).—Urutapu (talk) 01:30, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

I understand it's the community's consensus the page should be called "No Name." However, is this not pure conjecture at this point? - Eternal Nothingness XIII 15:41, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- Not really. We clearly saw it get "named" in real-time. In fact, I actually support one of Kryten's earlier ideas - put all of the No Names into a single page, then just differentiate by games and plot relevance. I'm still lost on why we haven't done that yet, since most everyone else also liked it...I think. --Ignis (talk) 18:42, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
- I dragged my feet at first because I did not understand that Luxu's use of "No Name" was actually differentiated in the Japanese text as well, and not just a random capitalization in the dub. As for why the rewrite hasn't gone live yet, it's because TSH disagreed with assuming the intermediary between No Name and No Name was also No Name (which is, fair, that's the same adherence to confirmed fact that I regularly stress), and no one had yet presented a split-in-3 draft of what I had presented."We're werewolves, not swearwolves."
